A mere 2.5 hours into my new game, I really like the corporate news you introduced. I have seen a few corporate ships, all S couriers.
Edit - Just explored the void, and noticed these two stations, one finished and one being built. Logbook didn't report them. So does it just pick some random snippets here and there?
Understandable if it did, as the log entries might get pretty crowded later in the game.
You get a news report every time a corporation builds new stations. You might have missed some, right at the start of a new game, several stations will be built by random corporations. Also, yeah news reports will get pretty crowded as time goes on. I tend to clear my news reports every couple hours. The only way to alleviate this a bit would be to pick a less used category, but there are still going to be a lot of news. This is because there are a total of 21 corporations, so depending how many are active, it could get busy.\
Oh by the way, I noticed you are using a search filter (Corporation), this would filter out the news message for the Supreme Technologies stations that were built. Could be why you don't see them. There is no "Corporation" in the message for new stations built unless the name of the company has corporation in it. ST stands for Supreme Technologies. Try searching with Supreme

You were quite correct. If you use the search term "decided" you'll get all the corporations building stations. If you use the search term "budget" you'll get the valuation / budget reports. The lists were quite abit longer when I used those terms!

Hopefully it is immersive and feels organic (as in part of the game).
4 irl hours in, ST has expanded into Antigone Memorial and has their own freighter. The economy seems to be rolling along. You'll note I have M transports directly feeding the warf in Antigone Memorial, trying to expand to more. Love tatertrader, you can actually assign your ships to npc stations like you would to your own...

If you have already downloaded 1.35, please redownload the file. I missed a few of the corporations having paranid ships when they should have split ships. It should be 100% fixed now, I hope.
If you would scroll through the list there are exactly 10 corporations showing value and budgets. Is this normal?
Also regarding your update, for immersion, what do you think of allowing a few of the companies to operate mixed vessels from various factions? If it is even possible. Would make them look more like my fleets, and seeing how they aren't scared to operate in other factions space...?

I could make them purchase ships from any faction except who they are sort of enemies with. The only issue is, that they would need to fly from where they bought them to other places. So like if an Argon corporation bought from the paranid, it might need to fly through HOP space and die. Or something like that. Maybe what I can do is have them choose from maybe some others. Like for example, Argon/Antigone corps can order from Argon, Antigone, Teladi. Paranid can order from Paranid/teladi/split. Split will order from just split because they are more like families than corporations. Teladi corps can order from everyone except HOP. Something like that maybe? But would a Paranid corporation really order from anyone else (since they think they are better) I don't know, what do others think?
As for which corporations show value/budgets, all should even if it is 0. Maybe you missed some? I don't know why only 10 would be showing.

I think that would be very immersive if others and you yourself agree.

No, they all show. But I meant that only 10 of them had an actual budget and value higher than zero.

That just means that only ten corporations have built stations and such so far. The others have not had the opportunity to do so. It is random which corporations will build stations. Over time, you should see them all building some, unless the maximum quota is met. This is so that you could essentially help a few corporations dominate if you wanted to and completely get rid of others. I am still balancing this, so I could definitely use feedback on it.
Another option is to have each corporation build one at game start and then if they lose all their stations they are completely out. I could also put a random chance they come back with a low chance or something if people wanted that, etc. I don't know yet what is best.
I can definitely change it so that the corps. could order ships from other factions. What do you think about which factions should order from who or which ones shouldn't order at all from others, etc.?

Will / can the corps build wharfs or shipyards?

Be interested to hear other people's opinions on this. I'm liking it either way.

Agree that Split would be family oriented and buy only split ships, HOP would probably be xenophobic and buy only HOP Paranid variants. Teladi I think would buy ships from anyone they found a deal with. ARG / ANT mebbe limit to each other and Teladi and PAR to themselves and Teladi and maybe Split since they have that sector way up north by Zyarth? Interesting questions there.
Again, be interesting to hear other people's opinions. I'm starting to feel as if I'm monopolizing your thread...
I'll go back to play testing!

I guess I should also mention that Corporations you are on good terms with, will build in sectors you control and of course send ships to them to if they build in them.
Version 1.4
1) Some Corporations will buy ships from different factions. Teladi Corporations will buy ships from anyone (except HOP). Argon and Antigone corps. will buy from Argon/Antigone/Teladi. Split Families only buy split. HOP corps only buy ships from HOP. Paranid corps will purchase from Paranid/split/teladi.
2) Some minor fixes.
Okay, please redownload the mod. I guess I uploaded it wrong. Now the Version 1.4 should be up, let me know if it isn't.
I also added better terran employees and such you can recruit/find. You can also do diplomacy with terran, pioneer and yaki now using dialogue with managers
