Their decision is a total betrayal of their ancestors and the cause of liberty. This is just another propaganda hit piece against the White race, who did less enslaving than many other races. We have a right to honor all generals, including ones that had slaves. Why aren't they continuously badmouthing all the Mohometan and negro leaders, and leaders of other races, that had slaves? Why are only White nations expected to capitulate and allow their countries to be invaded and their leaders denigrated? There will be a huge backlash and soon civil war.
* The Confederate States seceded from the United States.
* The Confederate States fired the first shots in the Civil War.
* In large part this happened because of "State Rights", which, essentially, was a fig leaf for "the continuance of the institution of slavery".
* The Confederate States started the American Civil War.
* Slavery is abhorrent. It is the institutionalised brutalisation of a class of people facilitating the coercion, physical abuse (up to and including murder) and sexual abuse (up to and including rape) of a population.
* Where slavery is / was based on the colour of your skin it adds "simply stupid" to the list of its wrongs.
* Some of those generals were in command of armies that summarily executed captured black Union troops and their officers because they were black. That's murder. A war crime.
* The Confederates lost. Comprehensively. The south was conquered. It was crushed. The only reason it wasn't levelled from Texas to South Carolina was because of the forbearance of the Union. In large part the Union won because the North invested its capital in industrialisation and railways, whereas the South invested its capital in slavery. Yup, the Confederates lost because of the institution they were trying to maintain. Gotta love the irony.

* Commemoration of generals who fought for the Confederates, to maintain the institution of slavery, is wrong - they fought for the wrong side, for the wrong reasons, and they lost.
* How you can say that something is the "betrayal of the cause of liberty" when it involves the ending of the institution of slavery is beyond me.
* It's not a "propaganda hit piece against the White race", it's the continuation of the cleaning up of the ugly legacy of the Civil War.
* They're US military bases on US soil. Paid for and maintained by US taxes. It's got nothing to do with other countries.
* The notion that "it's only White nations that are expected to capitulate and allow their countries to be invaded and their leaders denigrated" is... nonsense, and irrelevant.

* There won't be another civil war. Thankfully there aren't enough people stupid enough to subscribe to the kind of nonsense you're peddling. Those that are stupid enough to subscribe to it are necessarily... self-limiting.

EDIT: Minor grammar corrections.

A number of unacceptable posts have been removed from this thread, and from the corresponding Biden thread. I will take this opportunity to remind people of a number of things:
  • This forum is hosted in Germany. Under German law, laws against hate-speech take precedence over those protecting freedom of speech. Playing word-games, trying to claim that your particular brand of hate-speech isn't really hate-speech will not wash here.
  • Law aside, this is a private forum, and the owners determine the rules. Egosoft chooses to encourage free discussion wherever possible, but Egosoft also gets to choose where to draw the line. Racist rhetoric, threats and personal attacks will not be tolerated.
  • The above points are not up for discussion. If you don't like the forum rules that you agreed to when you signed up to the forum, don't post. It's a simple as that. If you decide not to comply with the forum rules then you can expect the decision to be made for you in the form of a ban.

What still concerns me still, and with Trump counting the days until he gets booted. (and probably going even more mental) is a war with Iran. I don't know about you lot, but this could still happen, probably close to when Trump leaves office. Probably in his twisted mind, he might think this will save him, or keep him in power. But what been happening over there, just makes me shudder. I sadly think he could very well start the war.

3 days until Biden is certified, but still, there are Republicans that are saying they won't back Biden. So until Trump is removed, anything can still happen. We not out of the woods yet.

There's nothing they can do. As I've said before, both chambers of congress would have to agree before there's any chance of taking action and they know they house is never going to agree. It's all a damn con designed to bilk money from the weak minded fools that blindly believe their bs. As they say, a fool and their money are soon parted and anyone donating to Trump and his loyalists, well, they're certainly foolish at best.

But you're right to be worried about Iran. Trump has been doing an awful lot to antagonize them and he's looking for any excuse to attack them. He's unstable enough to do it and clearly has no interest in following the mandates of congress. He very well may force a conflict on his way out.

Thing is mind

Including naming some of the republicans who are thinking of over turning the result. So in that respect, there's a few names there. Just hope nothing happens. And the matter is finally settled.

11 Senate Republicans announce they will object on Jan. 6.

Sen. Cruz
Sen. Johnson
Sen. Lankford
Sen. Daines
Sen. Kennedy
Sen. Blackburn
Sen. Braun
Senators-Elect:
Lummis
Marshall
Hagerty
Tuberville
Greg Schultz

This sentence says everything you need to know: “Not one of the Republican officeholders objecting to Biden's victory have objected to their own wins on the same day on the same ballots using the same election systems.”
Indeed, sum it very nicely, that those senators don't question their own winning their seats. But strongly object to Biden winning. So one rule for them, and another for whoever is to become president.

That's very true. Their hypocrisy is without limit. The rule of law and the constitution are just props to be used when it's convenient for the GOP.

It would be a shambles, if they do go along with it, and get more senators to back the anti Biden coup. If more jump on the bandwagon, (I really hope not) it will get very ugly indeed. Trump is still trying to get some courts to listen to his madness, so far, that has failed. So By right, if Biden votes are certified by the senate, that should end Trump's legal challenges. But what is worrying, if this 10 day audit, that been tossed around. But considering Trump's legal challenges have been thrown out, what is the point in prolonging things?

I had a bad feeling, the 6th and the 20th are getting to be very heated for both sides. Trump, I''m sure will pull something off, if that is war with Iran, or something else, I'm pretty sure he will have something up his sleeve.

It doesn't matter if the entire senate backed the coup. I doubt they'll get even be able to muster a majority to back it. But even if they do, again, it's still going to require the house to agree as well and it absolutely will not happen. It's blustering, playing to the crowd. That's all it is. The traitors will object, they'll do their little debates and vote, it'll be over, and then they'll count the elector votes that the states certified. Maybe not in that order but the outcome will be the same with Biden confirmed as having won. And then on Jan 20 at noon EST, Trump's term ends per the US constitution. He doesn't get to be president for 1 second past that under any circumstance. There's no law, no loop hole, no anything that allows him to remain beyond that point whether or not Biden is sworn in. And if Biden isn't sworn in, for some reason, guess who is? Nancy Pelosi.

I agree, the mindless bunch that's following along with the coup attempt could be a problem. But, the United States will put them down if they cross the line. It wouldn't be the first time and it likely wouldn't be the last.

A sitting president and his cronies recorded actively trying to overturn a legitimate election... In normal times this would be enough to end a presidency.

Add it to the pile of similar things for teflon Trump. As scandalous and damning this is, I doubt anything will come off it (sadly).

If any of what he's alleging is true, then why is it that only Trump and his "lawyers" have this mysterious evidence? Why has none of it been released to the public or presented in court at a minimum? For nearly 2 months is been "we have all this proof, but you can't see it". He's saying people committed crimes but refuses to provide evidence of the crimes. He's got to be the most incompetent victim of a crime in the history of the world.
