EA Origin Access basic is about $0.99 for a one month term. It gives you access to some games. Dragon Age Inquisition, Mass Effect Andromeda, Starwars battlefront 2, and more. Some of the games might take longer than a month to play btw.

The biggest problem there is that it is EA, where either the games are so bad or they require extra funds to be spent on their, as they call it surprise mechanics or as everyone else calls them loot boxes and macrotransactions. Best advice, stay well clear and spend the single buck on something else as EA is not worth even that.

The Steam Gamefestival has begun. Some kind of online Gamescom replacement due to covid-19. Over 600 demos of unreleased games can be played until June 22 - as you would on a trade fair.
I know it is not free games but for a real trade fair you would have to pay for travel, entry and your hotel :P So I thought it is worth mentioning :P

I woke up today thinking it's Wednesday for some reason, I even made plan yesterday assuming today is Wednesday, until my dad pointed out (and I rushed to check the computer clock) that today is Thursday @_@

Unfortunately I only have £23.69 to spend and they want £27.99 for it. Hue is free on Epic, Conan Exiles was also meant to be free today on Epic but so far it is not being offered.

Still waiting for SV to get discounted. I don't get how this Collectors Edition stuff works. There doesn't seem to be a way to upgrade from standard X4 to CE X4.

The CE edition was intended for pre-purchase of the first two DLCs along with other goodies plus the standard game. Now that the first DLC is already out, Steam have removed pricing and purchase from their page for the standard game to CE upgrade, probably because it would be too confusing with so many different variations already out there.

You could still potentially buy DLCs individually ( DLC 2/Expansion II is obviously not available or priced yet) along with other bits and pieces such as music scores and some of those may well appear in future sales.

This bundle will remove things you already have, like the base game. So it is the way to upgrade to CE now.

It's a first for very long time, when I'm happy I made pre-purchase.
CE was very good deal.

Now they've thrown in the soundtracks to bloat the price, when they know full-well that most people won't want them... Bah!

One of the reason why I bought CE was to have soundtrack in particular!

X-games soundtracks by Alexei are in my top 3 after Jeremy Soule and Jesper Kyd.

I think we are drifting away from the real purpose for this thread now though. It will annoy the free/cheap games notification followers. :D

Good. So, will https://www.indiegamebundles.com/category/free/ be helpful or am I taking away the fun of alerting other people to free games?

There's some kind of media event by Ubisoft on this Sunday, 12th July, where you can claim a free copy of Watch Dogs 2, if you log in with your Uplay account. More information here.
