Trading problems - map data doesn't match what's available

I am new to this game. I went to Tel Teladi Trading Station to buy water because when I click on it, the map says Tel Teladi sells water for 53 credits and another station was buying them for 57 credits. When I docked at Tel Teladi and selected trade option from within the ship there was no water at all being sold. I went to the trader on this station and no water was available to buy. I then left a satellite close by to the station. The map still says that water is being sold at Tel Teladi.

Please tell me what I am doing wrong?

There are several factors to general trade that are interlinked but each have impacts; these comprise prices, stock levels held in storage, already reserved trades or consumptions, and whether buy/sell offers are available at the station. For example, Trading Stations may still show a sell price even when they have no sales stock of a ware. Treat the map data as a general guide but you may need to research the other factors too.
