Which Scripts/Mods are a "Must Have"?
Well, Ive ordered a brand spanking new PC so that I may *FINALLY (after almost a year of waiting!) get to play X2,
So, ofcourse the first thing I want to know, is what are the best Scripts and Mods to get? And what are the best fansites?
(sory to sound like a "n00b")

www.xscripting.com is good
BabyFace has a lot of stuff available for download on his site as well, can't remember the address, but search for author BabyFace and it's in his signature.
I use:
Xaicorp Trade Command Software Mk1 (Factory trading script)
XaiCorp Advanced Combat AI (script)
Burianek's Economy Fix v0.25 (mod)
OnlineKenji's Budget Plants (station accountant script, BabyFace's site)
No Modified Tag (mod)
A Complete Laser/Missile/Flight dynamics mod I'm playtesting now (will be available post 1.4 patch)
I've tried and like many others, but I'm running a pretty clean game right now, so these are what I consider bare essentials.

Heya Tsar_of_Cows! I've enjoyed the Massive War Mod (kind of a compilation with the added benefit of Massive Wars!) and the Advanced Combat AI mod. It may also be possible to integrate those two with the Need4Speed mod, which could produce a well-rounded experience indeed!
P.S.: kinda creepy how many Morrowind players we have here! =][

Thanks everybody for replying! And is there a script which lets you actually choose where TLs drop stations via the map? becuase I spent 10 minutes sitting in space in the tutorial trying to figure out how to use the map to make the TL go places. in the end I gave up.
And, yes Im suprised at how many people recognise me (comes with being an awsome cow dictator
)
Anyway, Im a MW fan 4 ever.
Also ,I like the sound of "Massive War" Im going to give it a go, ofcourse Im so new to this game, it will probably allways mystify me what the mod actually does!

scripts use the same dialogues as the in-game menus, so if you can't place a TL/factory in the standard menu you won't find it any easier using a script.
when you're picking where to fly to ("move to position"), the numberpad works like an 8-way switch, with 2, 4, 6, & 8 moving the cursor (the light blue set of arrows) S, W, N, & E, and 7, 9, 3, & 1 moving the cursor on the appropriate diagonals.
when you come to place a station, 2, 4, 6, &8 work the same as before, but now 1, 3, 7, & 9 rotate the station - zoom in on the sector map (Home key) to see how your station will end up.
in both cases, when you've set the cursor where you want it, press either Enter key and it'll set things in motion.

The tutorial for station buying is screwed up, because the tutorial says you have to talk to the Navigator, when really you need to speak to the Captain of the TL.
When you do, you will get a list of options. One of those options is "Fly to position..." and then you will get the sector map, and be able to use the number pad to position the factory where you want.
Buy from your own factories only: http://users.genesee-id.com/cholmes/x2/ ... ceBest.zip
