Weapons my only wish.

Hello Egosoft

As the topic suggests, I'm concerned with weapons.
I am currently playing Beta 3.0 and it is a lot of fun.
But there is a disturbing factor with the projectile range of large combat ships.
I tried the mod varity and rebalance overhaul. It is incredible what Shuul did with these weapons.
The range makes me take large battleships seriously again. At the moment they leave me cold. When there is an exchange of blows between L or XL ships in Vanilla, it looks very awkward. The ships often maneuver aimlessly and too close without firing.
In the mod the exchange of projectiles starts from 15-20km and that looks very epic. It also looks a bit more understandable.
I hope dear Egosoft team, you pay attention to a little X4 friend and think about it.
I don't know what the community thinks about it, but the topic would give me so much more.
Sure I could just Mod it, but I like Vanilla experience (Ventures). :)

I think the majority agrees that ranges need to be increased even if all dont confirm it here, at least on discord we all do
Fixed ships getting spawned away from ship configuration menu at resupply ships from automatically getting deployables.

Pretty sure there's a mod to add offline Ventures to modded games. Not tried it myself (keeping the game vanilla for now for beta testing purposes) but might be worth a look if you prefer the modded weapon ranges but still want to be able to send ships out to gather stuff for you.

You can't possible know that. The overwhelming majority of players never participate in discussions, whether on this forum or elsewhere.
Also bear in mind that people who don't like something are far more likely to post about it than people who either don't care or are fine with the present situation.

Best thing for Ego is to do a poll on this and post it as official "news" so many players can participate.

This would be a good time to at least make the range bigger then capship length :D

Since they already have to balance new weapons and new shield behaviour.

I'd love the extension of capship turret weapons - especially small turrets.

Maybe not to the extend of VRO, but I think that turrets on L and XL ships need double the current range.

Double is too much. That will make S/M fighter too worthless. Not fun to see a bunch M ships dying before even reaching the target capital ships.

M turrets should have similar range as M main weapons (respective of their types of course)
Whilst L turrets should have at least twice the range of M main weapons.

This is exactly that in VRO, m guns and m turrets have approximately the same ranges, l turrets have double of that.
