I have finished my second game, having destroyed all the villains, own my own Shipyard and Wharf and have updated my main ships with the Researched improvements and can virtually destroy anything and have produced tons of money with all my stations and ships.
Now my peeves. (mostly annoyances.)
The damn cockpit chair noiss is incessant and annoying. I can't understand why that and the next few peeves are still in the game after all the updates that got us to 2.50. why weren't they fixed? I know there is a third party mod that is suppose to fix that noise but it did not work for me.
#2, the constant shaking and jumping of the crew in the cockpit. Egosoft if you can't fix their constant walking/shaking and jumping up and down, then at least put a damn bathroom in the cockpit of every ship!
#3. Incomplete-able missions. Like building an expensive fleet of ships that you cannot deliver. we all know the problem and it should have been fixed or missions eliminated from the game.
Other missions like supply my shipyards and after you collect all the supplies, the shipyards won't take them. If they are so desperate for these supplies then why will they not buy them when you deliver them? (even though the requirements are all filled correctly).
The invinceable Kah-ak. Why can you not destroy the Kak-ak installation station. It diverts my fighters and other ships to try and defeat it when there are swarms of other ships in the area. Can't use "attack all targets in range" command in the area. since they only attack an invincible installation.
#4 collection 'Containers and Lockboxes in sector. They will fly off in any direction as you get closer making it too frustrating to even bother.
#5. Finding Leaks, having to travel through 3-dimensional solid objects to chase a leak you cannot catch. I know it can be done, I've done it, but it's not worth the chase. Also, too many "Success, Decrypted" but no explanation of what was decrypted and you get nothing. I am not talking about what you already own, I am talking about leaks that are a success but achieve nothing.
There are many more aggravations and frustrations such as this but I do not want to be criticized for a rant. I like the game or I would not have spent all the hours it took to finish two games and I am looking for 3.0 and a new release. It concerns me though that after all those Beta's, you still have all these issues in the non-beta release. Why are'nt these things fixed in early Betas?
This is not suppose to be a rant, but just a brief discussion of some of my frustrations, and I have not listed them all. There are many more.

We're currently at 2.60 and 3.0 in beta. I'm pretty sure at least some of your fixes are in there.
Why are you still running 2.50?

You mean lockboxes that you randomly find or those you get to open during missions? I've never seen them "fly off in any direction as you get closer".
Sometimes they rotate, yes (in which case you just have to time your shots very well) but i've never seen them move unless i (or someone else) bump into them.

Probably partly because, apart from the first part of #5 on your list, we are not aware of people running into the problems you've reported, at least not in the form you've described them.
#1 What noise are you referring to? Can you upload a video showing this?
#2 Again, what "shaking and jumping up and down" do you mean? A video would help?
#3 Why can't you deliver the fleet? And why can you deliver the shipyard supplies? I can't help wondering if maybe you're missing something important here. Regarding the Kha'ak installation, that's not mission-related and it's intentionally not destructible for reasons discussed elsewhere.
#4 They fly off? I'm not aware of any reports of that. Are you sure you're not crashing into them?
#5 We're aware of occasional problems with signal leak locations; we've fixed some and will fix others as we're made aware of the specific details of where, exactly, they are. As for successful decryption doing nothing, again, perhaps you could provide a video showing what you mean.
Providing this more detailed feedback as individual threads in the Beta forum (assuming you're using the beta) or Tech Support (if not) would improve the chances of things getting fixed, assuming they are indeed game issues.

Ever since XR, the signal beacons (the small radar dishes) are typically rotated into the hull of the structure they're attached to, partially intersecting the hull. This orientation is seemingly random, yet almost invariably wrong. In X4 I've never come across one which is properly oriented, and it always looks so bad.

I don't think you're talking about the same thing; signal leaks weren't even in XR. Nevertheless, showing some screenshots (from X4) would help us to identify what you're referring to and where they occur.

I think he is speaking about data leaks which sometimes (rarely) are behind the station walls.

Yeah ok maybe I got the name wrong. I was talking about scanning for blue prints/discounts or doing leak fixes for missions.
I just flew up to the first station nearby:

They're almost always incorrectly oriented for me. Often the center of the leak is inside the hull, though I can usually find it by parts of the "blob" animation expanding outside the hull and the tell-tale beacon geometry poking out.

I consider 1 out of 4 data leaks behind the surface too deep for spacesuit deep scan too much.
I have not yet attempted version 3.0 beta yet, still busy with my first playthrough on 2.6

I think he means the behaviour of the bridge crew members, not able to keep them self sitting on their asses for more than 30 seconds but moving around and changing chairs and leaving and re entering the bridge by moving around all over the freaking time - that's in deed anoing if you like to fly your capitals by your own.

I don't think it is necessary; he's talking about the cockpit chair's activation sound when NPCs randomly sit down/stand up.
It can really get tedious to hear the same thing after a while.
