No doubt. I'm sure he'll call him a traitor and make up some bs to give faux news their nightly talking points.

Re: Trump
So the BBC has a good line about Trumps tweets.
As for Stone, what he has been found guilty of carries a total of 50 years in jail, maximum 20 years for telling lies to the congressional hearing, and 5 years maximum for each of the other 6 counts, so 50 years altogether. Do you think he will get 50 years, doubt it will be close, I say he will only get 5 years, he is a rich white boy after all. It's also what Trump has to look forward to after his Presidency ends.
A year ago for a Republican to vote against Trump in an impeachment was political suicide, it's now getting closer to the point where to vote in Trumps favour is becoming the political suicide. Probably the best thing Trump could do is to quit, let Pence in as President with the possibility that Pence can pardon him for his crimes. The big question is would Pence pardon him, as that would be the end of his political career to do so, seeing as that's what happened to Ford when he pardoned Nixon.
Can I also point out that no one person whether a Trump friend or foe has stood up and said that Trump would not have done such a thing as what he is being accused of doing, not one single person. When it was announced that he had used money and influence to gain political advantage not one single Republican stood up and said President trump would not do such a thing. The lack of anything being said says a lot.
Trump released the transcript of his first phone call with the Ukrainian president Mr Zelensky. The problem is the transcript of the phone call is totally different from the briefing the Whitehouse released on that phone call, which said:Mr Trump has boasted that his conduct while in office - blunt language and shoot-from-the-hip tweeting - is "modern-day presidential". If so, welcome to a modern-day presidential impeachment hearing.
AlsoMr Trump "noted" that the Ukrainian election had been conducted in a fair and open process. It said he "underscored the unwavering support of the United States for Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity".
Both of these things were missing from the transcript he released. So either the transcript is a lie or the briefing of the conversation was a lie. It is just another way that shows he does not have a clue what he is doing.Mr Trump told Mr Zelensky that the two would work together "to implement reforms that strengthen democracy, increase prosperity, and root out corruption"

Re: Trump
Not as bad as deciding to impeach him and having it die in the Senate. It is going to be that much harder to impeach him again the next time. I think dems have not really thought any of this out. They still don't have a path to remove Trump from office. This is a desperate attempt to interfere with the 2020 election. They know they are going to get schlonged again if they don't do something drastic. I think looking at that future is convincing them that their goal to get back in power justifies sleazy means. They have to have seen by now that Trump doesn't ever quit for haters. Haters gonna hate, hate, hate. Trump gonna Trump, Trump, Trump.RegisterMe wrote: ↑Fri, 15. Nov 19, 23:15
In the grand scheme of things that's just as bad as refusing to impeach regardless of the facts.
You think it's bad now? We took a crazy gamble on electing Trump to avoid something worse. Dems didn't learn anything from this experience. They doubled down on stupid policy and abandoned the grudging amount of respect they used to have for things like the border, free speech, the second amendment and so on. If dems ever unscrew themselves enough to enact policy on the federal level they are going to create an even bigger backlash than the one that put Trump into office.

There's a lot about various aspects of Dem aspirations, and operations, that I don't support or appreciate. But... if I had kids I'd want them to look at Kent, Tailor and Yovanovitch as examples for how to serve their country. I would want them to look at Giuliani, Sondland, Trump, and......... the list of associates would (and will!) take up an appendix in its own right, as how not to.
Masterbagger, you are rightly proud of your service with the 101st. I admire you for that, I respect you for that, I will be ever grateful for that. Everybody reading this should feel similarly.
Back in your respective days you'd do whatever this chap (fifth in his class at West Point, volunteered for the infantry in 1969, served with the 101st in Vietnam, won a Bronze Star, and an Air Medal (with V?), then spent the rest of his life in public service to the US) asked of you. And he likewise you, were you senior to him. If you'd been in the same combat area, in the same period, you'd have likely shared blood. Literally. The brotherhood, the indignities, the fear, the courage, the sacrifice, the shit, the terror, the holding the fella next to you as he spazzes out, the will to succeed, the sharing of that last can, the legacy, the "esprit de' corps", the victory, the sheer amazing pig headed stubborness to never stop, the complete professionalism..... the care for your brothers. And winning. For us.
He's one of yours. You're one of his. I don't, for a second, think that you put that to one side lightly. But nonetheless you manage to put it aside.
And he's a villain now?
Your beloved "not an assault rifle AKM" is not at risk from any Democrat candidate. Your fears of "socialism" are overblown and misguided. Your support for Trump and his administration is on you. But that's one of the wonderful things about democracy.
PS. Oh, and I'm left handed, so anything that ejects on the wrong side, too close to the butt, is kind of awkward for me (looking at you SA80).

Re: Trump
Utter hypocrisy to see a Trumpian take stuff like free speech or other laws and say the Dems are a threat to them, at least the dems or doing the effort of changing them legally even though everything they suggest is dead on arrival in the senate, unlike Trump and the many of his "best people" that now are in jail or are going to jail for breaking the law in many many ways. Trump doesn't have a clue about any laws, he simply goes "if i think it's legal it must be legal, or my base at least will agree it should be legal" and thus goes about doing whatever he feels like legal or not. That is not how a respectable law abiding person would handle things.
Lol particularly the "threat to free speech" irks me, this orange turd made a big point about how he'd change the law concerning free speech in the media to make it possible for everyone to sue everyone.
Hypocrisy, the red thread throughout Trumpian's thought process.

Re: Trump
Quite so. It's all part of their unending need to feel superior to others stemming from deep-seated fear. Fear of their own insignificance, fear of their own failings, and fear of their own ability to comprehend. All of that fear forces them into stubbornly sticking with what little they know and what they believe to be true. Anything that goes against that is wrong and anyone who challenges their narrow mindedness must be brought down, in their mind, to the level they exist on for an even playing field, never considering there could be any other position for them to take instead.Grim Lock wrote: ↑Sat, 16. Re: Trump
It's really telling to see the people that are breaking away from Trump.
https://www.msn.com/en-ca/news/newspoli ... ar-BBWUtji Here an asylum officer refused to comply with Trump's policies.
https://www.huffpost.com/entry/trump-ac ... 982f0402ad Here one of Pence's aide's has testified to the house committee. Trump, naturally, attacked her on twitter and labeled her a "Never Trumper", which I find particularly odd given that she works for his vice president... Is he saying he and his staff are too inept to vet their hires?
Then, of course, there was/is Lt. Col. Vindman, who serves as the Director for European Affairs for the United States National Security Council since 2018, which Trump is the chair of. He has also been the target of attacks from Trump. Again, was he not vetted?
Sonland looks to be turning away from Trump.
It won't be long before Trump is left standing with nothing but his favorite white nationalist lap dog and talking boiled chicken breast, Stephen Miller, and professional kiss ass, Bill Barr.

Did the President lie? Does shit stink? House is investigating whether Trump lied to Mueller.
One wonders if Trump has ever told the truth? He spoke about draining the swamp. I don't think he realized that the swamp is in his own backyard. Roger Stone is just the latest in a long list of criminals that Trump is known to surround himself with. Fortunately, all these investigations into his friends has been precipitated by Trump's own folly.
Even if Trump is not impeached, at least this process is showing Republicans what a low life they voted for. On that basis alone, the Democrats cannot help but gain advantage in the upcoming elections.

He did tell the truth when he said he wanted to date his daughter. Oh and that one time he said his only good quality was that he doesn't drink. Beyond that... I can't recall anything that he's said that was truthful. But good quality people don't matter much to republicans. Hell, people in general don't matter to republicans, especially of the Trumpanzie variety.Observe wrote: ↑Mon, 18. Nov 19, 20:39 Did the President lie? Does shit stink? Setting aside Trumps racism, misogyny, bigotry, etc. for a moment, what baffles me is that this is a man who came into office with a shit reputation to begin with and, since being sworn in, has openly praised Kim Jong Un and Putin, but has the gall to publicly attempt to humiliate career diplomats and military service members, all of whom have served the US with dignity and distinction, and Trumpanzies applaud him every step of the way. How do you reconcile that?
