Will the PAR military be fixed in the 2.6 patch retroactively or will I have to start a new game?
Please and thankyou

We're not sure which fix you are referring to here. Could you clarify, please?

I'm not sure what spider is referring to but in my 2.6 playthrough the PAR military keeps attacking the ALI wharf in Trinity Sanctum.

Re: 2.6 question for Dev's
In 2.5 the PAR core military consisting of the Zeus and its 6 attendant Destroyers is exploring Pios Mists and not engaging in any useful military Behaviour ( IE defending its Space/Borders )
My question refers to this being fixed retroactivly or whether I need to restart

I understand that you want to know whether something is fixed retroactively or not, but I can't answer that until I know which entry in the 2.60 changelog makes you think that this behaviour has changed at all.

In my game a good number of the PAR fleet is always attacking the Khaak Hive in Pious Mist and a good number of the Teldia the Khaak hive in the Xenon Sector north of their main base.
Sometimes they fly away from the hive but then circle right back around. Maybe that is what is going on?

@ CBJ thank you for the reply..your not understanding the question actually answers it..
2.6 will not fix a fundamental problem...wait for 3.0 I guess

No, it doesn't. I'm not aware of the symptoms and details of every problem, particularly if they are only described very briefly by the person talking about them.
You specifically asked whether the problem would be fixed retroactively, or whether you'd have to start a new game, implying that you believed there to be a fix in the works which would solve the problem in at least the latter case. That might be true, but without knowing which specific problem you are describe and which fix you think it might be that could solve it, I can't answer your question.

Re: 2.6 question for Dev's (PAR fleet just exploring and not defending etc.)
He is referring to a problem with faction fleets sometimes assigned exploration order instead of patrol or something. It happens well before and is still present in 2.5. It makes so even if the fleet is present in the system where enemies are present it will not respond to enemy aggression unless it is hit directly. Such fleets will also stop to change sectors in answer to enemy forces there.CBJ wrote: ↑Sat, 5. Oct 19, 23:16 No, it doesn't. It was reported in beta forums in previous versions

Absolutely correct.
Pre 2.5 PAR fleet was responsive and pro-active....ARG and ANT were not..2.5 fixed ARG and ANT Fleet behaviour but Borked PAR fleet...there is no " Entry " that specifically address's this issue however from reading people posts on 2.6 beta I could infer that maybe it had been resloved.
However CBJ your response negated that.
once agaon I appreciate your response..but 3.0 beckons not 2.6
2.6 wil remain fundamentally flawed

Speaking as someone whose most complex program was like... five source files and maybe a hundred, two hundred lines of code including spacing? Programming is really complex. Your post was the equivalent of "Y'know, guys? Did y'all fix that thing? Y'know! The thing!"
Give him a chance to see with the other devs and check their log files. They did say they did a lot of pathfinding fixes. It might be in there, he just has to check for it. Expecting anyone on a development team, even a programmer who actually worked on that bug a while ago, to remember /everything/ they worked on is a lost cause.
The other thing is, did you ever post in the bug report forum about it?
EDIT: Whoops, too used to other boards recently. Removed swearing as emphasis, apologies to mods.
