For anyone interested:
I routinely (that means often) Stream X4 Foundations for hours at a time. I also use the Tobii 4c eye and head tracker unit when I play for anyone that is interested in the thing. The basics are that the Tobii simply mounts on your monitor and it works.. You do not have to wear anything... no head set, no hats, no constant calibration required.. no nothing. You can move around in your seat, leave, come back, sit down and your calibration remains just as it was before as if you never left.
While X4 supporting it needs a few tweeks, i.e. increased FOV, especially for eye tracking, it is superb and really changes the game visually as you play.. Being able to look around as you fly or in EVA, is damn nice, especially when I hunt for signals on stations etc.
Anyhow, wanted to just let anyone interested that I have an X4 stream I do and also I use the Tobii 4c as well if you want to see how it works.

I've a sneaky suspicion that as much as it should be fun to play, it is likely to make some of the audience seasick rather quickly

Why? You can set it to any speed of movement you want.. My setting are basically working at a natural speed that I move my eyes and head... The only issue I have is an offset to the left when I use head tracking by itself... I really wish Egosoft would had a 'center' key for this which every other title has that I use the tobii 4c with..radcapricorn wrote: ↑Thu, 26. Yea I have the circle turned on to show users the difference between where my eyes are looking at where the screen is.. You can then see that the screen is moving fluid and not bouncing around as a persons eyes actually do in reality. It can be turned on and off by me OR by you in twitch when I am actually streaming. Not in the recordings of course but while live streaming it is configurable by the viewer.
