Yeah i'm not asking for the full compliment. I know it wouldn't have the same amount of weapons/turrets, but there really isn't a "step" between medium class to destroyer. It would definitely need an artist touch up as well. The gorgon is the closest thing to that.....but we are very limited on selection of in-between ships.chew-ie wrote: ↑Fri, 30. All in all this could be good way to re-introduce docking clamps as a second type of docking - which also would lead to more ship variety. (a third type of docking could be hangars)

I like flying my nemesis, but in a blow-for-blow fight with a xenon K it would get shredded in seconds and the gorgon isn't much better in that regard. I mean even behemoth's get shredded by K's 1v1.![]()
I thought that was weird too and I expect it was designed like that to fill the split gap untill we got their ships. Now that we are getting the Split are we going to see balance/bloat problems where ships have too many weapons?

In X3 I used the Marco, for all my running around. And had fleets of Demeter Miners. Probably my favourite ship.
The UFO in X3 will do for me, Quick, small, and imposable to catch.

Other than that, i wouldn't object. My preferred choice would be the right one of the Hyperion in your pic thoughId love to see more sleek ships in X4 in general (like the Hyperion), which dont require a huge landing pad on them just so you can dock at it with a little fighter / "lifeboat". Ships that dont have big chunky modules dominating the majority of the ships hull, with the "actual" hull just being beams and panels floating above the modules.

Even in X3R you couldn't just fly at 3 xenon I with the hyperion and expect to win, much less a wing of Ps. It was a strong ship, but not overpowered.
and you are god damn right... self propelled landing pad, or more accurately even - self propelled garage (because they even thought it necessary for the little ship to go INTO the other, barely bigger ship, for no reason)
One thing you can absolutely be sure of as a developer is that the players will find the most OP ship, and most will use it. As propably 80% of players have picked it (or Springblossom) over anything else in X3TC/AP (just look for the polls about most preferred ship in X3 section) its a clear cut indication that it is "special snowflake ship" and overpowered - most users of course vehemently argued against it being "special snowflake ship" but thats only further proving it is. If AI ship always wins against other AI ship of same class, its also overpowered - which is the case.AshesOfHegemony wrote: ↑Tue, 3. I just want my Split Mamba, easily my favorite ship of X3... and if we're talking about exceptions, I'd love to see the Split mamba in a mold similar to the Nemesis in this game, a corvette.
