Ok this is my third run at the war missions and I’ve had it. I never get to complete them. I never get the reward on contract and I’m tired of it.
Any guid in just adding exceptional crafting items to inventory? I don’t care about the modified tag anymore but I’m not going to expend millions trying to get them only to have the game refuse to give them.
Good grief.

And what was the specific problem you ran into? I have completed dozens of them fine...photomankc wrote: ↑Sun, 7. Apr 19, 17:39 Ok this is my third run at the war missions and I’ve had it. I never get to complete them. I never get the reward on contract and I’m tired of it.

Trade guilds also offer you exceptional parts from time to time, and some are pretty easy to complete like literally deliver a single ship back and you get them. You also get 1-3 every day doing ventures. Of course you cannot do ventures if you modified your save/game but then you can just cheat in as many as you want anyway so no issue there either.

It’s generally the final mission in the series. It just vanishes while you are working on it. This time it was to bring 3 experienced pilots to a station. 4 star pilot and 3 star morale. I was in the middle of purchasing multiple high-loadout ships to replace the 3 pilots I had found that met the criteria and poof the guidance was gone as was the mission. There was no message it was completed. This was after dropping a few advanced sats and mk2 laser towers which are not cheap.Imperial Good wrote: ↑Sun, 7. Now it appears that I was wrong though. Although no indication was given the mission series was successful, the item is in inventory so i guess my initial upset was unfounded. You do at least get the reward item, in this case an exceptional shield coil. There is no way though I met the final mission goal because I had no idea which station I was supposed to deliver the pilots to.
That’s happened in the other three Argon/Xenon missions ive tried now. I can never seem to get the last mission to complete but given I have also 2 exceptional nano-weaves it seems they were there all the time just didn’t know i had completed the missions.

Loadout does not change the pilot at all, hence why one has to purchase many. In fact one would buy the same number of low loadout ships and get the same pilots. I literally got a ~4 star pilot from purchasing a hull from my own warf for an assemble fleet mission. RNG is RNG, and unfortunately it will trick some superstitious people who posted online such nonsense hints like "high loadout gives better pilots".photomankc wrote: ↑Sun, 7. In any case avoid any "deliver crew" missions like the plague. They are intended for when players have other choices to get skilled crew which are currently not implemented. You can spot these missions in advance and know which chains to not take.
Advanced satellites are cheap once one owns their own warf and production facilities. Many of the missions such as assemble fleet assume this. Mk2 laser towers like wise.
Make sure you are running the latest release 2.21 since there was a bug in 2.20 which caused guild missions to auto time expire after 1 hour (the same time their offerings would expire).

Re: Bugged out useless war missions
This is good to know. I had a suspicion that was the case but I had heard the "buy the max loadout for better pilot" enough times, I just went with it. Then I got several 0 or 1 stars this last go round and thought that was probably a good indication it was bunk. Good to know that now as I can avoid the need to sell off the ships equipment again,Imperial Good wrote: ↑Mon, 8. I am running 2.20, so that bug sounds just like the issue, my mission was just gone, as were all the other guild offers as well. How does one get to 2.21? is that the current beta? I've just been taking the updates as Steam rolls them out.

No, 2.21 is current release (not beta). You can check your version in the game's main menu.

Will do. Sounds like this addresses my issue. I read the release notes. I'm pretty sure i'm still at 2.20.radcapricorn wrote: ↑Mon, 8. Apr 19, 15:45 No, 2.21 is current release (not beta). You can check your version in the game's main menu.
