How's 2.2?

Thought i ask about a couple critical issues i had - maybe you guys can spare me some hours figuring it out on my own:
1. Is the issue fixed with player assets ignoring orders and wandering off after that random P or whatever enemy?
2. Are factions still building 10s of defence stations in enemy space instead of building the necessary defence stations and moving on to economy (productive stations) from there?
3. Is argon/ant military functional again or they still only circle around a wharf?
4. Are faction ships attacking new enemy stations/builds/CVs now with high prio (or at all)?
5. Is the sound bug fixed with those clicks and engine sounds going on in the cockpit constantly within couple minutes of loading a save?
6. Is the bug with EVA fixed where camera and player position was jerking around constantly?
7. Is it stable? I had CTDs, UI collapsing (main menu entries invisible etc).
8. Is it possible to sell ship building mats with a wharf/dock attached to a complex?
9. Did ES keep the 5 cluster max limit on traders?

10. Or are there any new showstopper bugs?

I wonder what are the stability issues that people report - ever since release I have 170 hours played and I experience only single crash (crash during the saving which was fixed some time after release).

Funny thing is that I play on 6 years+ below minimum spec laptop that I last formatted like 4 years ago :)
The only thing I did for X4 was to update my GPU drivers just in case.

To me X4 is the most stable game ever.

1. There are some still but much better overall
2. Dont know use faction mod that takes care of that
3 and 4. Same mod does that also
5. Yes, I mean i dont get it anymore
7. Hmm the game stops sometimes for me, it kind of blocks, I can alt-ctrl-delete but cant get to the screen to end task it and have to brute restart, had it sometimes in 2.0, still the same in 2.2 and never had it before 2.0

Lucky guy..
Keeping map open for some minutes -> FPS dropping to single digit then likely CTD.
EVA bug -> UI issues, then CTD
Random CTDs i cannot link to anything, but i wasn't even trying to figure it out tbh.

All started on 2.0.

All started on 2.0.
They did improve fps on maps, so maybe that fixes it for you
And I never had a crash like yours

Actually you're right - I did felt some noticable FPS drops when I had map open, but this was fixed in 2.2.

I think the issue was that destroyed lasertower wrecks didn't despawned properly so you had dozens or even hundreds of them in war sectors - 2.2. fixed this.

Aditionally you might also want to check if you have really high (like 22-25+) rep with NPC faction - at some point with top rep you will be able to see NPC faction ship orders and this absolutely murder the map FPS - however at 2.0 Egosoft added option to switch this off in map filter settings.

There is a workaround for indestructible defense stations so no spam of unfinished stations

No clue if i just need to keep it open for longer or were there any other necessary actions/game state for it to happen.
Think the issue wasn't on my end because i remember reading a line about this in beta patch notes.

[Beta 4] Fixed menus slowing down over time (especially noticeable when keeping map open).

Thanks, maybe it's gone then along with the fps drop.

I had no problems before with all the ship commands (20+fps with bigger factions near /at 30), this thing started to turn real bad after i finished a bigger complex on 1.6, then on 2.0 the slideshow/CTD happened regardless of ship command visibility.

5. The sound bug, I think it is fixed...not sure but I haven't heard it now. Must play a bit longer sessions, and sit still somewhere in Argon prime where I mostly have had this problem.

lasertower wreck spam bug occured with 2.0, so you should check the 2.2.

ARG and ANT military still Broken..Ships stuck in eqp dock ..Colosus still orbiting the Wharf ..no new builds for s and m ships ...queue is still at 68
The cerberus sentinel spamming Superhighway between Argon Prime and true sight has gone ...but they all got destroyed in SC II and not replaced so HOP still Destroyed SCII...so ARG Military and Mining ships Still Borked.
Performance defintely better.
Sound Bug gone
Not Checked game save destroying EVA bug yet...need to air gap a save to make sure no others get corrupted.
Xenon Mining down in Faulty Logic appears to be working.
Laser tower spam gone.
Wharf/Yard sell offers for wares still not implemented.although you do get paid for ship building now.
Protect Station command still results in Suicide by Xenon Wharf but not as often so not quite so many destroyed ships.
Had A brief period where Venturs stopped giving rewards but it could have just been a RNG thing

Overall a much Better Experiance...

Much much much Better than 2.0
Much Better than 1.6

More Squishing to do..

Go back its worth Playing again.

Zero CTD's since 2.2

1. Having a carrier right now patrolling a gate, I had no ships flying intentionally through the gate or somewhere else in the sector. They stop following the enemy when he/she/it gets to too far outside the protection radius. IS they sometimes accidentially fly through the gate but return instantly back to the carrier (I happened to see this once since beta 2.2, to be precise).
I still have trouble keeping escorts away from enemies they can't beat, but thats a whole different issue - These Xenon I's :roll:

3. Good question, haven't looked since release version but it was still a problem in the beta due to ships Blocking the wharf/shipyard and therefore being unable to dock

4. They do attack them occasionally when they are finished :P

7. I had stability issues (CTD, freezes) with the beginning of Beta 2.2 (but like 3 times since december pre 2.2) but it returned to normal state with release 2.2. If you had these problems with 2.0, I can't answer that.

I must also add that, stability-wise, I have no issues. But I haven`t had issues since the 1st 2 crashes that happened on release. Since then it`s been fine.
1. Please do more on NPC civilian/uniform variety, and bio customisations, Devs.
2. Stations need sirens/warnings when enemy is close in numbers or Station in danger of destruction (in Sandbox).

Yup ARG ANT military way way broke Now that HOP have decimated SCII with no defense they are now in Argon Prime where once again Defense is Sorely Lacking.

Luckily I have HAT 1 SATURATED with defenses so the Xenon Cant get in from the north

That's pretty bad, really don't feel like babysitting ARG sectors, especially since i want to stay friendly to HOP..
Later i will check on them and see how bad this is. Maybe the bug is gone, and you just need to wait a bit until their build queue is clear? Still not acceptable having a major faction loosing it's military due to some lo prio ship building activity..

Each person's game seems to be drastically different. In my new start (25+ hours in, started just at the end of 2.20 beta), HOP doesn't show any interest in invading SCII so far. In fact, it was ANT that lead incursions into HOP territory early on (seem to have eased off though). Anyway, HOP has taken to camping the far gate of PMII. Meaning they've basically split Godrealm territory in two. And they barely won the latest big battle against the Godrealm. I think had I not been IS they would've lost.
