Ship stuck in upgrade - Fix coming in a build after 2.21

I' have 2 ships that have been stuck with "change equipment" order for a few months now (couple patches).

I can't get the captain to leave the seat. (so i can sit down)
I can't fire the captain.
I can't relocate the captain.
I can't delete the change equipment order(behavior).

The two ships, a kestrel sentinel and a Gorgon Vanguard are both stuck.
One in Trinity Sanctum PAR Paranid Warf the other in HOP paranid equipment dock, Pontifex claim.

Is there someway to get them unstuck?

Cant move them at all- but ill check in six months time again

I have one disappeared on a venture ( rebuilt the dock whilst it was away ) still show in properties but is in a far away universe

Well, RMB on wharf/EQ -> Upgrade ship and look which details this stations needs to make an upgrade of your ship.

Then supply the station with those details. I had same situation, the only diff is that I ordered a new ship, and I had to supply the station with 20k of smartchips. After that I got my ship.

I Have a few of them like that. The fix is to check their Information/Behaviour screen. Chances are they have a Dock And Wait command that BLOCKS the Equip command. Just go to the Bahaviour screen and Delete the DockAndWait command.

This happens when you issue the Equip command WHILE SITTING at the pilot chair. That prevents the Dock and Wait command from completing. You would have no problem if the Equip command was issued when you are not at the helm of the ship.

Re: Captain won't get up the seat.

Happens when you click the Seat, the pilot got off, then you want to click "Use" but somehow click another command instead.
The pilot would then remain in the pilot seat and would refuse to budge.

A save and reload fixes it, so Save Games are useless to reproduce it. Only happens in 2.2B4. Did not have this problem before.

- Hi, thanks for tips - however I only have one order in the behaviour menu - the only order I have is "change equipment". There is no order i can remove. When I try to remove the "change equipment" order it does not respond, and nothing happens(text just stays there when I click it).The ships getting stuck happened a very long time ago, several patches, so i don't recall how i got the bug - it could have been something like you mention, i just dont know

I have no knowledge about how safe the site i uploaded to is - scream if you need another upload location - the file is there 30 days the site says.

The build id's are: 289 and 4011 (according to game)
The ships are named with a "/" in front of their names.
The save has me standing in one of them.

Thanks for the save. We do have a fix but it will not make it into 2.21 (which is currently undergoing testing). What we've resorted to doing is aborting that build order and refunding the credits. This will only affect ships which have an unabortable Equip order which is not yet underway.
