[MOD] Trade Receiver Satellite
New Update! If you found Trade Receiver Satellite to be too strong in the early game, check out our NEW Unstable Trade Receiver Satellites. Now available at a fraction of the cost, but you get what you pay for - these satellites introduce some instability into your network and will randomly decay over a period of time.
ONE Unstable Trade Receiver Satellite will never decay.
A SECOND Unstable Trade Receiver Satellite will decay in 1440 minutes.
A THIRD Unstable Trade Receiver Satellite will decay in 720 minutes.
A FOURTH Unstable Trade Receiver Satellite will decay in 360 minutes.
A FIFTH Unstable Trade Receiver Satellite will decay in 180 minutes.
A SIXTH Unstable Trade Receiver Satellite will decay in 90 minutes.
A SEVENTH Unstable Trade Receiver Satellite will decay in 30 minutes.
An EIGHTH (or more) Unstable Trade Receiver Satellite will decay in 5 minutes.
What is a Trade Receiver Satellite, you may ask?
Trade Receiver Satellite is a new satellite added to the game that provides trade subscriptions to all stations in the sector, without giving vision. This is a massive performance increase compared with dropping satellites on every station. In sectors with a Trade Receiver Satellite your autotraders will automatically travel to stations in the fog of war to trade.
Seeing all the ships in all the sectors updated in real time can cause a ton of lag. Now with Trade Receiver Satellite, you can enjoy all the same trade opportunities WITHOUT the lag.
I will be releasing a suite of satellites in the future, if you have any ideas for satellite/deployable mods, please pm me!

DOWNLOAD HERE:

To Install:
Unzip the archive into your root Extensions folder: Steam\steamapps\common\X4 Foundations\Extensions.
If Extensions is not there, just create it.
Windows 7 users will get a blackscreen if their mods are not packed into a .cat. Pack your own .cats or update Windows.

Cool. You should add [Mod] tag to your thread title. I also have a question. It's not exactly clear if you still have to deploy said sats. What version of sats if they're used do you buy and deploy? Regular? Advanced? Do sats with this mod installed not reveal the map? Does this add a completely different sat to the list to equip?

You do have to deploy a satellite - it's a new satellite added to the game called "Trade Receiver Satellite." It is a different ware at the equipment dock, and does not reveal the map - actually has a radar range of 0. It's intended to be used in conjunction with other satellites in the game (and hopefully more interesting ones that I can mod in as well!).

You buy them anywhere else you buy satellites - at a wharf, shipyard, or equipment dock. If you can't see them in the consumables screen, make sure you have the mod installed in your root directory, as it does not work if you install in the documents folder.

You can post under the forum tab on the nexus.
Yes, auto-traders will receive information from undiscovered stations, but you as the player won't get any info unless you or one of your ships has been there.

My trading fleet just began to make profitssss since I installed your mod.
Awesome !!
It's just the price of each satellite that is not fair imo.
Your mod should be accessible when you begin to have a good trading fleet, after getting all the trading mecanics, but with that price, it is mostly an end game feature (I covered all the map with one of them and it costed me an arm and a leg
)

Well, every faction has a trade license you can by at the faction representative for about 10 ish million credits. Those licenses give you station - price updates of all the stations of that faction without the need of any satellite. That's kind of the feature to go with when trying to keep up performance, as it doesn't require the player to have any satellites. Satellites are mainly used in the beginning of the game and to grand vision / to explore and to keep track of hostile movement.

This is great, i love the performance boost, those other satellite mods really kill your performance overtime and with this you get none of that, my map remains usable with this mod which is great, many thanks
