[1.32 Bug] Cant create stations anymore

After about 130 hours of gaming, the game has bugged down to being unplayable.

The latest thing that is broken is placement of stations.

When I use the placement tool, the map vanishes and a complete blank screen appears where you would expect the map.
When I create a station plot and place it, what really happens is that it places a plot somewhere on the entire map. You can NOT add modules (at least not persistently) and the station will not show anywhere on the map. You cannot mark it for travel or do anything else with it.

I really love the game but the last 24 hours were one bug after another - mostly new. I understand the complexity behind the game, but please also understand the level of frustration I am having.

I don't feel like starting a new game. I'll wait for next patch and if that's not a major improvement (trade, mining, economy), I'll put the game down for a year or so.
