1 Issue, 1 Question

1) How do you dock the L/XL ships? I get the aiming recticle but it doesn't work like the on in station. It wants me to dock out in open space but i can't get it to work.

2) I am doing the Scientific Experiment mission. 1st step is to get an interface unit. I already have them and even if i buy one from the trader it still doesn't complete that phase of the mission. How to move on? This is my second time to do this mission. I am on a new game due to the dead environment.

Regarding 2 i think the mission want you to pick up a certain item, at least i had guidance for a specific one which was lying around on a station.

Capship docks are indeed in space, you have trouble navigating to the spot the indicator shows you, or you're all green and the docking doesn't happen?

The item to pick up is an 'interface unit'. It directs me to a trader. I buy an interface unit but it does not acknowledge it as completed so not sure how to complete that. As for the L/XL ship docking. I get the recticle and it get pitch lined up and roll but when i move forward and/or left/right none of the markers move. I can fly toward the recticle forever and the forward/backward indicator doesn't move.

I resolved the pick up item issue but still need help docking L/XL.

Xl ships dock at piers, they pull along side and use cargo drones just like in rebirth. I've not tested out cargo drones yet though so they might be as ****** up as they were back then.

So I appear to be trying to dock at a pier but with no luck. See my description of what's happening above.
