[Plot bug] Scientific Expedition: How to complete ?

Hello all,

a Boron asked me to fly through an anomaly but what should I do now ? The Quest did not progress,
did not point me to anything new and the Boron did not get in touch with me ever since.

The quest log still asks me to fly through the anomaly but there is no quest target anymore.

Please help ! I jumped through the anomaly several times now but nothing is happening.

I dont know what I must do. Can someone please use my savegame, get past the anomaly in the correct way and send the save file back to me ?

Same problem here. The mission didn't update after flying through the wormhole and I don't have a the guidance anymore.

For me it happened with the Explorer start. Got the plot, did the part until I found the anomaly, checked out a few stations in the start sector first, then returned to the anomaly and blasted through it in travel mode ... and it didn't update and I don't have the guidance marker anymore.

did you guys open the map go to the current missions tab and check whats in the briefing after you go through he wants you to buy a ship and equip it with 3 antimatter cells then fly it to the location in the sector that's marked when you have the mission set active. so double check to see if the mission is still in the current mission tab and make sure its active.

When Travelling through the anomaly , you can end up in multiple different systems.
Keep going through the anomaly until you finally reach Grand Exchange and the quest will resume

I can confirm the destination of the Plot Mission Scientific Expedition is GRAND EXCHANGE. I was jumping to several systems, sometimes more than one time like Matrix #9 etc. and got a response after jumping to Grand Exchange. Its still a bug since no way the player can know he has to jump several times in a row until getting to a specific system chosen by RNG. Grand Exchange should be the only system the anomaly choses when first entering. Please fix !

During the plot the anomaly is only supposed to take you to grand exhange.

This is only a guess but it seems if you have already discovered grand exchange manually the script can't change the anomaly's random behavior. Could be also caused by jumping to it before the boron stop talking

Either way the fix is to keep jumping until the anomaly takes you to grand exchange (can take upwards of 20 jumps)

It seems like a recent bug, but i would guess it has some wierd behavior with late game saves.
