Since 1.21 Hotfix 1
I've been getting random crashes, if I leave the game running over night.
by the time I get back to the game it still runs, but as soon as I try to interact with some new orders to ships, it will just crash on me.
There are the auto save files, but still those are usually quite behind.
Just noticed version 1.30 was just released.
Lets hope that fixes this Random Crash issue.

We have very little chance of helping you with so little information. Please make a post in Tech Support and provide the information requested in the first post in that forum. In your case DXDiag, vulkaninfo and crashdump files would be pretty much essential.

Re: Random Crashes after running for 15+ hours
No worries, I was just commenting there to see if others had similar experiences.
So I just upgraded to the latest 1.30
The problem seems to have worsen, It will crash everytime I command a Wing of ships (1 large 3 small) to stop what they are doing (ignore all previous commands)
Before 1.30 (1.21 Hotfix 1) they will at least comply stop what they do, and then carry on with the new orders, but then it will crash shortly after.
The order was simple, I just wanted the ships to fly to a specific location so I can drop a radar.

Whew, after 15 hours I can't say that is unexpected. Most programs simply aren't designed to cleanup well enough to run that long. Little errors build up over time and eventually cause instability.

But a lot of other players also leave X4 running over night so the game can progress while we are sleeping.
If we don't let the universe economy simulation run its course, it'll take a long time to progress anywhere, this also will give the AI a chance to catch up to the player, as the player if played only during "awake" time will always have a better strategy than the AI commerce.

One thing I forgot to mention
Before 1.21 Hotfix 1
I was able to leave the game running overnight without a problem
Something broke after that version and even more broken now in version 1.30

You leave the game running overnight? I`m sure the game can cope with it (as do many)...
But why?
p.s. Oh I just the above... To get the economy doing its stuff. But do you really need to do that? I doubt you truly need to. The longest I left it was when I went for a bath and forgot i`d left the game on- About 2 hours. lol!

1. Please do more on NPC civilian/uniform variety, and bio customisations, Devs.
2. Stations need sirens/warnings when enemy is close in numbers or Station in danger of destruction (in Sandbox).
Yes, for immersion. Thankyou ahead of time. (Edit: This is actually happening!!!)

Again, a post in Tech Support with the requested info would give us some chance of tracking this down. Without it I'm afraid your report doesn't tell us much.

Re: Random Crashes after running for 15+ hours
it's some memory issue. If I normally play it happens after 10-12h. First some minor graphical glitches appears like hitchups in texture loading, after a while the map gets half seconds lags. Once or twice I've got sound artifacts around highways and fast sector changing and within next 30 mins it gets laggy and eventually crash.
It's also possible it's triggered. In last hour it's always following some other persistent problem (it's different everytime tho, but only happened twice so far, I'm not usually playing that long without a pause
) but they are pretty indescribable. But it's always there.
Last time map went broken. It kinda worked but everytime I was on it I heard sound like 25clicks per second. Every control worked normally like clicking/context menus but when I was moving the mouse it acted like it dragged the grey ship planned paths and grabbed them all around the monitor while doing that repeating noise, changing to other tab or turning off the map and it was ok again. Not much helpful so there is nothing to report really. But it's an indication it will crash soon. But I have no idea what diagnostics I could run to catch these when they happen.
Simple game restart solves that for another 8hrs at least. Not a real problem (for me, but I have 32GB and 8GB so it might be bigger problem for others)

After reading some of that description of your similar problem it gave me an idea.Alci wrote: ↑Fri, 7. Dec 18, 20:48 it's some memory issue. If I normally play it happens after 10-12h. So I did this...
- I loaded the crashy save.
- I immediately saved the game as soon as it finished loading.
- Reloaded the new save. <-- it was still crashing with this work around but it took longer to crash than using the auto-save file
- Issued the "remove all orders" command
- Disbanded the Wing / Squadron
- Now flying each ship separately
- Saved the game
- Reloaded the new new save <-- now the game is back to "stable" at least it hasn't crashed yet **knocks on wood**
