Then I saw it visually arrive from a distance, enter the Dock area like a graceful giant Killer Whale and dock gently near my own personal ship...
Damn that was nice.

Not on Steam, (GOG) but the other idea will work. thanks.yungleballz wrote: ↑Thu, 6. Dec 18, 10:10 If you are using Steam, you can use the assigned key for a screenshot at any time.
If not, you can still press "Print" on your keyboard and paste in into an empty MS Paint document etc.
I love when you see those huge floors open up like walls when a ship lands and is taken down.
Are you using a notebook? Then you might have to use the FN key also.Socratatus wrote: ↑Thu, 6. Dec 18, 10:18 EDIT p.s. yungleballz, Printscreen and paint don`t work for me. guess I`ll have to use Fraps.
I have a desktop, but then realised the keyboard I have actually has an FN key which I never use. I used it - and it worked. I had no idea my keyboard was the problem.yungleballz wrote: ↑Thu, 6. I really don't get why people think that no loading screens is a huge accomplishment in 2018.... this is just standard game design now, every 'new' game engine has tools that let devs do stuff like this.
Indeed. I have a pretty woman on the side of mine and she`s a beauty to view on landing!BigBANGtheory wrote: ↑Thu, 6. Dec 18, 12:50 even more so if you put your own logo and colour scheme on your ships![]()
It is much more commonplace and yes engines have features to support it, but as they say the devil is in the details. Just because the engine supports it, doesn't mean you push a button and its just there automatically. Depends on the engine, depends on the game and how you want to structure your data, lots of variables. And here they made their own engine so they've had to do a lot of the work or at least integration to get it working. That is more common says nothing to minimize how cool it is or the level of accomplishment.Vandragorax wrote: ↑Thu, 6. Don't get me wrong, it's great, but it's really not as astounding as some people seem to make it out to be, the technology is there and it shouldn't be a surprise when devs actually use it ^_^
By the way there is a loading screen every time you load a save file, if you hadn't noticed![]()
Lucky you. Even my 4-star pilots like to try to tunnel through the walls, or roll the ship along the hull to get to their docking pad.Socratatus wrote: ↑Thu, 6. I waited on foot on one of the higher balconies for it among the hustle and bustle...
Then I saw it visually arrive from a distance, enter the Dock area like a graceful giant Killer Whale and dock gently near my own personal ship...
Damn that was nice.I just wish I could`ve taken a screenshot. Do screenshots work from ingame or am I going to have use an utility like Fraps?

Now you`re getting that immersion feeling.Arvel wrote: ↑Thu, 6. For example, I may tire of it eventually but there is something quite satisfying about looking out over the landing pads of a station I've built from the window in the manager's office and watching all those traders bringing me tasty, tasty profitsss.
Manager's office? Window? You need to do some crouch-jump exploring my friend. You'll get much nicer screenies from OOB.Arvel wrote: ↑Thu, 6.
