How do you access Global Settings for Ships?

I Can't figure out how to change the global settings on my ships so that if they see an abandoned ship they mark it ansd alert me. Currently I'm having to do this for every ship manually.

It's in your personal information screen (the icon with a person when you bring up a menu). There's a menu option text for it.
