Scanning menu UI design / control flaw

Hi guys,

I just want to post my personal opinion on the fact that you can only scan ships by right clicking with you mouse, then going down with the mouse to press "scan", which is terrible if you haven't pressed shift + sapce bar before, because you move the ship and the ship goes out of focus of the scan zone.

Which in some cases is terribly useless, if the ship is flying around or circling you.

Is there any short cut to scanning I don't know of?

If no, please make scanning ships a short cut option, as this is terribly unintuitive and overly complicated for some situation.

You can press F to bring up the context menu, which helps a bit, but it's still a real pain - especially since scanning's much more difficult in this game (think in X3 you just needed to be within 4km). Desperately need to change this tbh.
