Hi
After a couple of days playing, i changed my gfx card (1060 6GB) and started the game today. I set settings to high and played a couple of minutes with the new card. Restarted the game and the main menu doesnt show. It started with the options not showing ingame, thats why the restart.
Tried resetting config.xml
Latest drivers installled
1.20 BUG Main menu gone - Resolved by disabling Cloud Synch

Thanks for the reply, Alan.
I've fixed the issue by turning off steam cloud sync, as the config files apparently are synced as well. Reset the X4 profile and it was back. Copied the savegames over to the new folder and im up again.
Don't know the cause of this issue, but something happened with my config files apparently. This may or may not be a bug, might also be user error trying to experiment with graphic settings. I dunno. My previous card was a GTX 770.
Well, im off to continue my amazing space adventure yet again
