[Solved] T16000M FCS - Huge center deadzones

Post by Grossbaff »

UPDATE :
I had wrongly mapped the digital inputs while I should have mapped the analog inputs... Please refer to DocAce's answer here : viewtopic.php?f=180&t=402873#p4765904

-----------------------------------

Hi,

I'm using the T16000M FCS (HOTAS). Currently, even with deadzones set to 0% in the game settings, I'm getting huge center deadzones. Very annoying, makes it unplayable with joystick to me.

In Windows calibration menu, everything works fine. I tried running a TARGET profile, doesn't seem to help.

Anyone else got this issue with this joystick or any other joystick ? Did you manage to find a workaround ?

Thanks !

Same joystick, same problems.

Thought I was missing some setting but for the life of me I've looked everywhere.

Works ok in other games, including X series but unusable here.

Hope someone can help us out.

Re: T16000M FCS - Huge center deadzones- fixed for me

Post by tc1961 »

I had the exact same issue with my T16000m, what fixed it for me was using the analog steering controls settings listed above "digital". When I set my joystick in the analog steering settings it made a huge difference. I still have an issue with the throttle but the key for me was setting flight control via my joystick and throttle in the analog steering settings. My throttle issue is related to inverted control right now, ran out of time to deal with that last night.

This looks like you've mapped the digital inputs instead of the analog ones! You can fix this by using the mappings in the first section, or you can load the new default profile we've added in 1.20 and use that as a base for customization

I thought when I used Analog on Friday, I was not having much success with it. But I've re-entered the Analog settings and it's a whole lot better.

Well that's slightly embarrassing...

Switched to analog inputs and it indeed totally fixed the "issue". Thanks a lot for taking some of your worthy time to come and assist us. I hope this is solving others issue too. I'll see if I can add the "[Solved]" tag to the topic title.

Thanks again.
