Hi,
So I get a mission to pick up an item from the equipment dock. Go back and dock, ok so far. Item is on lower large docking bay so I go to the lift, click the lift to use it and nothing happens - the lift does not move and the option to use the lift dissappears. Tried undocking and redocking, save/load Game, restart whole game. Every time I reload the game the same thing happens can click to use lift but lift does not move. Seems I am stick unless there is a reason for it?
Any ideas?

Don't have a solution for you, just posting to say I've hit this issue too, so it's not just you.

I had that bug too. Luckily I could work around it by landing on a docking pad near the item. Didn't use the lift afterwards and didn't check if they were still stuck but when I came back to the station after exploring the universe for a while I could use the lift again. Maybe leaving the sector through a jumpgate helps?

YUP same here.
The lifts were working earlier when I was exploring, but not now.
I am currently losing patience very rapidly with this game I have spent hours trying to get my HOTAS into a usable configuration and now the 1st mission is bugged. GRRRRR
At this rate I will be going back to Elite Dangerous fulltime. Bloody disappointing.

Had the same problem, bugreport has been submitted, seems really be related with these transport-pickup person quests. Here is what I did (my ship was still parked in the fighterbay, and not stowed away automatically.
First, if you run towards the blue energy wall where it leads stairs down it's low enough to jump over it. You will fall to the lower deck, but you will not take damage. Talk to the critter to board your ship... Since i didn't trusted him, i followed him.
He walks (slowly) to a fasttravel station. Then once he is gone, enter the fasttravel station yourself and go back to your ship (better not go in the fasttravel box with him, go seperatly).
When he is in your ship, just deliver as supposed. When you return, the elevators will work again.
That error is save persistent, and even after I abandoned the mission, the elevators were still broken. Once done, better not pickup any of that quest until they make some mission fixes.
