[FIXED]Trade windows are empty?

When I land on a docking platform (or have another ship land remotely) and open the "Trade" menu option, the trade window opens (filling the top half of the screen as usual) but is completely empty. There's nothing to select, read or manipulate. Because of this, I can't trade any wares from any of my ships' inventories with any trader at any station.

Unfortunately this has stalled any progress I can make in the game since I can't buy or sell anything, blocking the trade & mining aspects of the game. Any idea how to fix this?

Seems to have something to do with mining ships. I have a mining ship full of ice and I can't open the trade menu, if I use an other ship, I still can't trade the ice remotely.

Huh. I hadn't noticed that detail, but I think you're right. I can't trade with *any* ship, but now that I think back on what I was doing when I first noticed the problem, it was after I bought a mining ship.

Glad to know it wasn't just me I guess I'll wait for a patch or workaround. I'm dead in the water on mining and a <spoiler> mission, so I kinda got frustrated and stopped playing for now.

I had the same bug, it also wouldnt let me trade on the map.. i found a fix for it... i just shot down my mining ship

Can confirm. Bought a mining S class ship (paranid one), tried to make Auto Mining work for a while, looted some dropped minerals, went to sell them and now Trade screen is black, going back to other ships won't fix it.

Same, also got the Tethys (people are saying Magpie as well), and can't trade.

Pretty game-breaking - I just invested all my cash into this thing, and I can't earn it back.

Cant stress enough how game breaking this is Egosoft! Please fix it asap.

As a quick and temporary fix; you can sell the miner and it instantly solves the problem.

I have the same problem. Bought the Magpie and mined silicon until the hold was full. Went to a Silicon Refinery to sell it as it buys silicon and the Trade window is blank. I have tried an Argon station and a Teladi station and both have the same issue. In fact every station I visit now has a blank Trade window.

I have the same issue, but was able to trade a few times with my Magpie, but after I bought a second ship it stopped working. I had it early on too, when I had 2 ships (Before blowing one up for the quest) could be a coincidence but each time I had a second ship it broke. Gonna have to try some more.

Edit Update: I sold my Magpie miner and could use the trade menu again.

I will try that. I will have my starter ship move to the station where my Magpie is and try and transfer some cargo so I don't lose it.

Yes, we're aware and will prioritise getting a fix for this. As you say, the temporary workaround is to sell the mining ship.

Curious to note that when this happens, the map icon is highlighted, but the options icon has the blue background. Not sure if it means anything.

Also I think the forum servers are on fire.

HI, just wanted to say i had/have the same Problem. bought a Magpie, mined some Silicon and could not trade it because the window was emtpy. I had the starter ship piloted by a NPC captain, told him to sell the ship so now i only have the Magpie and it workes again.
Would really love a quick fix so i can start working with multiple ships+mining!

Hope you can fix it soon, but still thanks to Egosoft for working hard on it. Really love the game so far.

FYI: IT's not all Mining Ships. buy yourself a Drill Vanguard, this one works with other ships and you can still trade

That's correct, only the S-sized mining ships are affected.
