We haven't given an exact time yet, and given the number of variables involved, we are unlikely to do so. It certainly won't be at midnight UTC or anything like that.

Please don't take the Steam timer as an accurate measure of the exact time. We had to set that some time ago, and we may well have to adjust it.

Good to know, as I was relying on Steam's countdown timer.
Sure sounds like it's a bit crazy busy right now at Egosoft.

Clearly you should adjust it for 5:15 PM EST so it's ready just after I get home from work

nonono you yanks are way back. I don't want to wait till Saturday.

Although TBH looking how busy they seem to be they should delay...
(2 days to go. No PHQ video, languages got nuked, not sure of release time.) Sorry I'll see myself out.

we'll get half the game in the morning, and theyll patch in additional ships and sectors over the course of the day
Irrational factors are clearly at work.

So will this be playable on the 30th here in the states?
"Since, in the long run, every planetary civilization will be endangered by impacts from space, every surviving civilization is obliged to become spacefaring--not because of exploratory or romantic zeal, but for the most practical reason imaginable: staying alive... If our long-term survival is at stake, we have a basic responsibility to our species to venture to other worlds."

Yes. because of Timezones differences I assume it would not be much later then say afternoon before evening.ZaldronTheSage wrote: ↑Wed, 28. Nov 18, 22:30 So will this be playable on the 30th here in the states?
Of course keep in mind they might spot a nasty bug and want to fix it first, etc there and then. But I think most people in the USA can get home after work and start downloading / playing.

Re: Launch times November 30th
I've "waited" for this game since it's announcement over a year ago, i'm not in any rush to play the game - in a good way.
If the game would be a victim of a last second delay due to a class-A bug or something, i wouldn't mind one bit.
It's fun to see the game anticipated and longed for ofc, but this often becomes a double-edged sword when delays or unfound gamestopping bugs surfaces
and all those people that was hanging on the door to the store or waiting to click the Downloadbutton on Steam, starts raging.
Lets hope for a soft and successfull release, great reviews and a well deserved vacation for all the devs and Egosoft personel.

Of all the things i've lost, i miss my mind the most.

Will the game launch internationally at the same time? Or do some people get it before others?

If I'm not mistaken, this is the way most games do it now. It's been a while since I remember seeing a game that did a rolling release.
