Exploring the new universe and trading a bit while doing so. Then I will buy a fighter and escort the trade ship while doing some missions on the side.

Find out where the Pirate/Yaki/Xenon/Khaak(?)/Lootbox-MTX Supporters are, and blow them all to hell.

I guess the first thing I'll be doing is say goodbye to social life and/or sleep... Again.

Re: First 24 Hrs of gameplay, What are YOU!! going to do
Real world obligations will keep me busy for a while, so I won't be able to play the crap out of this right after release... (and it's right after my birthday, too. Real world obligations are a sad thing indeed.)
All whining put aside, I'll probably get myself a ship that's a decent compromise between speed and firepower, and spend more than a few hours exploring the universe, the layout of stations, and (trying to) kick the crap out of any pirates I encounter.
When the "it's a whole new world to explore" magic will start to fade, I'll take a good hard look at what I've found while exploring, start setting up my trade empire, build friendly relations with who i want to trade, and start to annoy some faction(s) whose butt I'll eventually want to kick, build my fleet, and then kick the butt of said faction(s) that were carefully picked out and bullied. But that will take more than 24h.

Humans are deuterostomes, which means that when they develop in the womb the first opening they develop is the anus.
This means that at one point you were nothing but an asshole.
Some people never develop beyond this stage.

That. Also explaining to people how to do Verify Files and that, yes, actually they did put that neat feature into Rebirth. Or possibly pointing to how bad Rebirth was at launch and that this isn't nearly as bad so you can be pretty sure they will fix this game, too.BigBANGtheory wrote: ↑Fri, 23. That I know I will be doing hehehe AND thats on the secound start

Sounds like a great Idea, have got a lot of good things to think about for the next 7 !!!!! DAYS!!!!ZombiePotatoSalad wrote: ↑Fri, 23. Nov 18, 02:39 I think I'm going to take a walk around a station or two, see how it is. Especially walk out on the landing pad and watch the ships come and go. Is there a space version for "Sittin on the Dock of the Bay?"
Then, I'll explore some space to use as a "territory." In this area, I will hang out, build rep, trade, fight, whatever. I might even throw in with a faction to have some friends.

Re: First 24 Hrs of gameplay, What are YOU!! going to do
1. Click download and hope the steam servers can saturate my 1GB bandwidth (yes got lucky in that regard, could even had 10GB but the cost of a router with more than one 10GB (pref sft+) port is a big big no) so i get the game within a couple of minutes.
2. Launch the game and select start profile
3. Start buying cheap
4. Sell at a higher price
5. Repeat 3-4 until my dictator err i mean pilot have enough creds to start enjoy station-building (and by that time likely have a clue what and where to build for good profitssss)
6. Build new stations while exploring the galaxy
7. After some basic economy is in place it will be time to start considering the big picture (and by that time most likely have a clue how the game behaves and how to expand to become a true conglomerate)
8. Go bananas and have fun!
While doing the above it a fair chance a restart will be made at some point

I think my first few minutes will be spent getting to grips with the ship/ ships that we start with then I will probably pick up a few trading missions in safe(ish) space then I will possibly get a fighter as an escort to my fragher while going through hostile space I will also start to build my ho e base/ trading port/ base of operations that will be my first 24 hours.

I will probably spend a few hours trying to figure out what is the best mapping for my hotas, realise it's not practical and start it over and over again.
Then I'll fly and explore randomly, grabbing easy combat missions that are on my way to get enough cash to buy a M3 fighter and fit it correctly.

1. I hope I can start with building my empire by taking small missions to get credits.
2. Looking at the first 1-2 missions of the campaign.
3. The mapping of the universe will be next.
4. Buying more ships.
5. Build stations.
6. build more ships for trading.
7. Build Faction reputation.
8. Build more stations for systematic build up.
9. and more of the above

Re: First 24 Hrs of gameplay, What are YOU!! going to do
I can see it going one of two ways:
1) Screaming at Egosoft about how they can't release a bug free game on release and don't seem to have a QA department. Screaming at myself about how I'll never pre-order a game ... again.
2) Sitting down to play after work then looking out the window and wondering why I can see the sun rise.

Fly around in a scout, accepting every free-money mission, e.g., "patrol this sector, get paid to do nothing". Unless those have been fixed? I feel like that was a bit of an oversight.
Then buy the fastest scout I can find, do some exploring and missions. Love the exploration. Buy a freighter and a pilot, have it auto-trade in a safe area and just print some money for me. Then begin building my factory empire.

If you're going to do this don't forget to stack 20 build solar power plant missions in the same sector.CorruptUser wrote: ↑Sun, 25. It takes a while but you can just keep collecting while playing in XR then cash in 200 million for a 5 million 1st stage station.
