I wish I was having spudoka's luck. I've spent a few hours circling my usual nova haunts, if I eventually find them, they hate me enough not to eject. How spiteful. Might take a break to check on a few new factories I set up in Akeela's.
With no nova captures of late, the coffers are lookin' bare, I'll have to go raid the factories' vaults to continue plonking down more factories. At this rate, I'll be getting an M2 when for my 90th birthday.
[OT: Could the birthday topic please be moved over to the UNCC forums? We have a General forum there for all OT things.]

It seems that everytime I leave for a couple of days this thread gets pulled way off topic, why
Anyway, my nova capping has been less than succesful recently. Hopefuly I'll have some free time coming up to actually hit space again.
Oh and Happy Birthday to Millandson.
Hail UNCC

Aie, we must heed the warnings.
Let's all do our best to keep the UNCC topic clean and civil from this point onwards. (Unless space monkeys infiltrate the forum, making the staff blind to our actions, then we shall reap our bloody venge.....*Moderator pokes head round the corner*, yes our bloody vegetables, we shall reap those bloody vegetables good.
he he.
I am sorry for not posting more often, and for having discontinued my broadcast for so long. It can all be attributed to a single reason.
I have nearly lost complete interest in X2: The Threat. Not the community as such, but the game itself no longer captivates me the way it used too. Five months ago I was busy rebutting comments such as the above, and did a damn fine job too! But its getting long in the tooth so to speak.
I think many of those who still remain active in the UNCC may admit it too.
The last time I played X2 was nigh on a month ago. The more I progressed in the game the less there seemed to do, and the harder it became to do it, as my machine slowly became bogged by crazy algorithm leprochauns and the like.
Once again I do apologize, I'll make an effort to post more often and with more enthusiasm. Keep in mind I'm still infatuated with the UNCC, just not X2 anymore.
Cheers?

X2's still good. You'll go back to it occasionally, it happens with all the great games. You play them for months, then you begin to get bored, you leave them. Months and months later, you've got nothing else to do, you pick it up, you're hooked again and you play it for another month. Cycle repeats. I still play Flashpoint, SWAT 3, Max Payne 2, etc. occasionally. I tried Project IGI too. It's a bit more difficult without a life bar, ammo bar, or crosshairs. Blasted Windows XP

Very very true red assassin. I have done that with almost every game I own.
I may start a new X-2 game once 1.4 is out, to see what it changes, and to specifically not do ANYTHING that ANYONE on the forum has suggested, so I can see how hard it is with no help offa no one. And I will join pirates, and use lots of spaceweed and spacefuel, and fly around with my gangsta bruvas.
(soz 4 the gangstar talk bit at the end, just got D-12's new album, and it seems to be rubbing off!)

There was no capping for me today due to that very reason. And some Medival: Total War.red assassin wrote: Max Payne 2,
I probably won't restart X2 at 1.4, but hopefully will try and continue building up. Darn it, I'm getting at least a couple of M2s before [if] I restart.

Forgot Medieval: Total War actually. So many great games, you forget half of them. I'm thinkng of trying to order an old Pentium 1 PC off eBay to play the old classics like Ultima VIII, Ultima Underworld and Chuck Yeager's Air Combat again.
Probably do a bit more X2 for a while when 1.4 comes out, maybe try and beat 250 caps and get a decent fleet so I can go back on for a good pirate bash when I get bored of my other games (although with Far Cry and C&C Generals on order and Splinter Cell to complete, that might take a while...).

i too have made an unexpected break from the game. I blame KOTOR on it. Having a Jedi is fun. I just wish they'd use X2 for the rest of it and the KOTOR for the RPG and land-based elements. =)
Oh well, my wishes never get answered.
I'm still a fan on X2 and can't wait for online. Then the UNCC will truly rock this world.

Heh, well it doesnt really happen to me for a month..
kinda like...
Get bored of the current game, look at another game, think its fun untill 2 days later you realise why you left it... you take a look at another game, same thing happens, you take a look at another, and find that its also boring, then you realise you dont like any of your games and now desperately need to scrape together some cash to buy something else.
X-Online here we come! (hopes that they update it really really often, to make sure there is always new and interesting content
