Pre-ordered.
And maybe we will get more information about the next tittle?

Do you imagine what could be an X3 TC with X-Rebirth engine...

Rei Ayanami can help you with that if you wish to get preorder steam gift

Wait, what do you mean? :?

Well, they're not "just adding DLCs", they also provide free updates to the main game (the 2.0, 2.5, 3.0, 4.0 updates were all free), which provide new features and performance optimizations.
The 4.0-update also has some more performance optimizations.

If you have any technical problems, like low FPS or other game issues, then i suggest opening a topic in the Technical Support sub forum.

Not neccessarily, a "complete package" could also mean "complete with all DLC up until now".

My suspicion is that is exactly what that means, especially since they did the same thing after the TO expansion.

It is also my belief that whether we see another paid DLC will be determined by how well this one sells.

I also believe that whether we see the next rendition of the game or not depends on how well the DLC sells. So...

Don't be so dramatic. 2 years ago they made more money in the first weekend with Rebirth than they did in the 12 years before combined.

If only they had something interesting to sell.

I have no problem with DLC's with small team games developers or even micro transactions .... Would be more than willing to purchase such things as Skins / Logo's for my trading / battle fleet..... Totally optional in single player games.

New enemies, new weapons, new missions, new and mysterious phenomena.
New enemies, new weapons, new missions,
new weapons

weapons

FINALLY! Something other than a space SMG, space shotgun, and a space sniper rifle. I hope we get something tasty that can blow capital ships

Well, as long as it's fun, more immersive, making the X-universe bigger and providing free updates for those who don't wish to purchase the DLC i don't mind paying money and/or supporting Egosoft.

Heck, EA and Ubisoft can take a look and Egosoft and see how real devotion to ones games looks like : regardless how crappy the launch was, they provide free updates and new features even months/years after the game launched.

If i had to choose a new game development company to work for, it would certainly be Egosoft. Devotion and love for games > quick profitzzzz.

I'm with you on this point. I've always thought that the weapons in XR were really lackluster--"new weapons" sounds like some really good news!

I must be getting old as I can't find it anywhere on GoG.

That is, because it's not yet available on GoG.

Coming in early 2016 will be the new X Rebirth complete package, including The Teladi Outpost and Home of Light for just 49.99€. Available on Steam, GOG, or directly from egosoft.com.
This means you can only pre-order the DLC on Steam right now. If you want to purchase XR and the DLCs from GoG you will have to wait until February.

Its not clear but as I read it you wont be able to buy the DLC alone on GoG, much like Albion Prelude it may be available in a bundle only.

Would be good to have this clarified.

Thought that may be the case, thanks for the confirmation. The DLC has now appeared on Steam, though the price change only happened this morning in my time zone, so I assumed it might be the same with GoG.

I might check back in a few months and see what's happening.

Take my money and I don't even care what they adding, too lazy to read I guess. I knew it was fishy they didn't release a patch in a while... even said somewhere they are cooking up a massive addition for AP or XR, seems I've gotten to know my Ego pretty well over past 15insh? years. Gotta love how predictable and honest to the way they do shit Ego is... still is... after almost 2 decades. So yeah... take my money... before you change your mind and give it to me for free... again... While admittedly I rebought X3 variants plenty of times due to "lending it" to disbelievers and never getting it back I've gotten even damn AP for free ~_~ forget TO. Wonderful practice but I always wonder how they ever manage to make any money :?

Little kids who couldn't read still pissing acid everywhere... learned your lesson? Yeah... right... I highly doubt any of em learned a damn lesson.

Only thing I'm sour about is that my lvl5 access form went to limbo... Then again... I love Ego surprises.

Ironically, I think you'll find it's comments like this which are one of the reasons Egosoft's revenue has gone down. The developers probably cringe every-time they read a comment like this, wondering if yet another fan of the franchise will be driven away by some fanatic with an obvious lack of empathy.

Habit made me click on the email link which brought me back to the ES forums, did it before my concious brain realised, and now I remember the reason I generally ignore them.

Hmm... Nice to see all this sweet stuff...

I will certainly buy the DLC, but the news that the complete game is going to be available on GOG too is very welcome. I always wanted this game DRM-free, so it seems Egosoft has gotten themselves a extra buy...

I guess this will be a Linux/Windows combo too? I could play the X series on Linux starting from X2-The Threat.

If people asked enough they would have patched drm out as they did with X3 or at least given no-steam executable. But people haven't asked for it as hard as before.
