No disk/Corrupt setup files

Hi. I have just acquired a copy of X3: Terran conflict and it also comes up with a message asking for the original X3 DVD. When I click OK it closes and nothing happens.

I have tried installing the 3.2 patch from http://www.egosoft.com/download/x3tc/patches_en.php but it comes up with a message saying "The setup files are corrupted. Please obtain a new copy of the program."

Am I installing the wrong patch? Is there a way to get this "new copy" or is there another course of action I need to follow?

Which of the 3.2 patches did you download and try to install? If you're unsure, which one to take, you can always use 1.0 -> 3.2, which will patch any version to the latest version (3.2). Even if you took this patch the first time already, try to download and install it again to make sure that there wasn't a problem, when downloading it before.

If anything fails, you can also register your game with Steam and download the game from there.
