
[MOD] Capital Ship Bridge

I have noticed that it in some cases or moving certain ways you can get stuck on railings, fall through the floor, etc.
In fact, while i was riding a titurel after being ejected from a super highway 60,000km away from the nearest system, entering the cabins just up from the docking bay, would cause me to fall through the floor.. once the titurel stopped moving this stopped occurring.

I think it's a vanilla issue with moving in general while the ship is boosting. Also noticed this problem when in the Skunk while the Skunk is attached to a capship that's boosting. Would it be possible to get Ren to sit down in the central 'Admirals chair' on the bridge? I feel so odd just standing there while the captain is relaxing in his/her comfy chair.

if this part is still the same as a few months ago:
add this diff file as "Extensions\NanookAdmiralChair\Extensions\litauen_capital_ship_bridge\assets\interiors\rooms\capital_bridge1.xml" in your personal Extension*:-> this should disable collisions for the central Chair
i think this comes close enuough 
*named it in this case NanookAdmiralChair - fell free to choose another Name yourself

Thanks. I may have to give it a try. However, I was thinking more in terms of the chair animation like in the Skunk. Not asking for much, am I?

Hello,
Need some help. I made a modification so it would be possible to put various (your hired) NPCs on Capital Ship Bridge.
They can stay on the ship and you can take back them later. Something like employee transit or temporary storage (like on the Skunk).
After re-landing on the Bridge you can find them somewhere around and talk to them.
I tested it as much as I could but I am not sure if I did not messed up anything with employee scripts.
If somebody is brave enough to test my changes on their backup files - I would be very grateful.
Do not want release it to the Steam for 6700+ subscribers and brake something.

2. Unsubscribe from Capital Ship Bridge mod from the Steam

Initial test:
1. Went in a Balor,
2. commed some crew (Captain, Engineer, Defence Officer, Manager, Pilot, and a Metallurgical Engineer) to move to the Balor,
3. undocked,
4. docked again,
5. looked for all of the crew that moved,
6. had some of them move back to the Skunk,
7. undocked,
8. commed the rest of the crew to move back to the Skunk.
Everything worked quite well except the Metallurgical Engineer didn't have an option to stay at the Balor (step 2)
Was particularly cool that the crew could be commed back to the Skunk, especially since it can be hard to find them when strapped for time now that the ship is so big inside, but the text when the crew on the Balor were commed was a bit confusing. I apologise if this is rude, & I'm asking this way because I don't know if anyone else has the same desire for this alteration.
Whilst I do enjoy this mod, the only bit I'm really interested in is the actual bridge, & even the walk there is a little irritating, so I was wondering if someone could tell me how to edit the file so that's where Ren spawns? (if this has already been answered earlier, sorry again, but 33 pages is a chunk to through when you're not sure what search term to use).

Hi just been testing you Beta Update With my Arawn
I found that every Captain you ask to stay on a ship with escorts get the escort list under him just like the Ships Captain

also found that you can not ask the MO Stay on the ship
Thanks for this function now i can have a supply of Pilots ready to capture all thoses fighters thats bail on me LOL
Also having Capital ship crews on demand will save a lot of hunting for good crews
will test with some specialists to see if they work

Update
I have found that Architect's & Specialists Can not be put on Your Ships
Managers Can be put on ships
I have noticed a FPS drop with 25 Personel on ship & i dont think all the NPC are been shown ingame i.e. my Manager is nowhere to be seen but captains /Do / enginers & Pilots are all over the place
Edit: If my NPC Head count is correct i can only find 19 out of the 25 personel on the ship this includes the bridge crew

All the crew I left on a rahanas are sitting in the "rest-room" between the two "side view room"...

We can get them in and out remotly like in any other station/ship... That's very cool!!
Only crew left seem to be the specialists that can't be let on a ship for now but as I already told you, this is just a reminder
