New Ship Problems

So I started a new game to try out the new updates after being gone for a while, and after getting the money, went out and bought a large mining vessel. After leaving the shipyard it just sits there.

No matter what orders I give it, it just sits there, with Orders listed as None.

Tried it with small mining ships too. After they leave the shipyard they just sit there. Built a construction ship and had the same issue.

Was only able to get him to move once I gave a station build order.

But if I capture a ship it seems to follow my orders (though I have not tested this fully)

Any ideas?

Is your game modified in any way? And how long have you given it before deciding it's not doing anything? Quite often ships will spend a minute or two plotting their flight path before setting off.

No, not Modified at all.

I have waited for over an hour in some cases. Will make the order, then just sit and wait and watch. Never moves at all.

Did you also try performing a Steam file verification for the game? It's possible that if you didn't get any updates for a while, something might have gone awry with the update process.

Obvious questions, sorry, but do your ships have the necessary drones to carry out your orders? Miners need drones to mine, and freighters need drones to transfer freight. Also, do they have enough fuel cells to make a jump, if that's what your orders require?

Will try the Steam file verification later on this evening. Nanook, yes they have ample drones to carry out mining orders and cargo orders, but it is not just those orders. They will not even take an order to move to another zone in the same sector. Just plain odd..

Edit: Tried the Steam Verification, seemed like it works. Got in and nothing looked different, dropped them from my squad and rejoined them and then suddenly commands worked again. Yay! Not sure why I failed to try that earlier. Thanks guys.
