I'll be quick:
IGNORE THIS > 1 - I'm able to craft 3.0's new items, but whenever I gain a virtual seminar, I can't train any of my employees. Right now I have a nice combat virtual seminar, but I'm unable to use it, the "train" option is greyed out for all my employees. I've tried hiring new employees, contacting them in every possible way, etc. but the "train" option is still greyed out. < IGNORE THIS
EDIT: Scratch that. I'm only able to train abilities in bold, so I guess the feature works as intended. The problem is that X:Rebirth's normal font is pretty similar to the bold one. What is the purpose of the bold font anyway? Does it indicate relevant abilities for every type of npc or something?
2 - I've found that the "old" Tojan URVs I had in my Skunk didn't work with version 3.0, whenever I wanted to use them, they just disappeared from the Skunk's drone bay. I had to buy brand new 3.0 Trojan URVs in order for them to work. This problem doesn't seem to apply to the rest of drones.
3 - I've also found that the "ware transfer" option only works when telling the npc to browse ships/stations using the map. If I tell my npc to transfer wares using the list browsing option, the "transfer" button is greyed out.

Are you using a very old savegame or mods, because that could cause issues after so many patches. Regarding the seminars, you go into the property owned menu, select a ship, select the crew and choose skills, details and the option if you have the seminar will be there if is not already 5 starts on that characteristic.
A por ellos que son pocos y cobardes

I've previously reported this one as a bug, so it's not just you.Hardcard wrote: 3 - I've also found that the "ware transfer" option only works when telling the npc to browse ships/stations using the map. Only just got my first Virtual Seminar, and it's a Science one - not what I wanted lol. Not sure who would benefit from that, a Specialist I assume?

Hola Santi.

Hi Santi.
If I have to start the campaign again, I'll shoot myself, XD.
The savegame I'm using is from a version slightly older than 2.0, I think.
I had to restart the campaign ten times before I was able to complete it with that version of the game, since X:Rebirth blocked/didn't start campaign progression scripts until that version came along.
Right now I have around 50 ships, a reinforced metal plate/refined metal factory and the integrative forge from the campaign is completely built. My budget is 31 million credits, my reputation with Albion/Heart of Albion is quite high, etc. I'm not willing to start the campaign again because it would take months for me to get to the point where I'm now.
X:Rebirth patches shouldn't corrupt existing savegames from older versions, considering how hard/tedious it is to progress in the game...Egosoft should really look into this.
Seminars don't work in any way, the "train" option is disabled (greyed out) no matter what I do, I've already tried the procedure you described and it still doesn't work.
Thanks for your reply anyway, I already feared I'd have to restart the campaign for the hundredth time.

Maybe engineers? Perhaps they need science skills in order to repair certain things, at least that's what I've always assumed, LOL.Scoob wrote:I've previously reported this one as a bug, so it's not just you.Hardcard wrote: 3 - I've also found that the "ware transfer" option only works when telling the npc to browse ships/stations using the map. EDIT: False alarm!
IGNORE THIS> -Ok people, I've discovered that the "ware transfer" and the seminar issues are, in fact, caused by the same problem.
I'm able to train my employees as long as I select their ship through the map, not through the player's property list. X:Rebirth 3.0's new features don't work using the list interface, they only work using the map interface!- <IGNORE THIS
