It works just the same for mods - go onto steam, get the mod, start the game so it downloads, quit the game, turn off steam: carry on playing offline but with the mod now installed. all i need is the extracted files on a zip..is that such a big deal to upload 20 mb files ??

Apologies - my last post was wrong - just copy the folder containing the .cat files etc., as it is, to the extensions folder in your game directory. i have putted to the directory : D:\Games\X Rebirth\extensions\Capital Ship Bridge
yes the game reads the mod on the extensions as it is,but when i dock to a capital ship it is just like the default place ! what i did wrong ?
Usually all the mods i have installed had some other files aswell like XML and subfolders.

For the most part fps is fine while on the bridge, it's only that one direction that the fps plumits to 5-10 while looking that way, if you look away, the fps goes back to normal.

I haven't noticed FPS drop, but I have noticed that sometimes light seems to shine through from that area when it shouldn't be.ty_cho wrote:Anyone else notice a massive fps drop if you stand at the center chair, and look up and around towards the door? Thanks for the walkthrough with steam. I added it to library and its in the DLC area. It said I need version 3.00 which is part of that teladi pack, which is also in the DLC read to install. I though it was supposed to installed automatically but has not, therefore my game is at 2.51 and the cap ship mod will not work. I have DL auto in background set but is there another way to manually make steam install updates and mods?
heh a lot harder than the old days of clickin ont he mod and just installing it yourself.

It is just a normal Patch released together with "The Teladi Outpost".
As to your question:

It will automatically update your game then.
Release for 3.00 was announced for "December".
I personally guess it is out this or next week.
PS: Litte hint: If you want to have the "The Teladi Outpost"-DLC (which is not yet released) I would recommend getting it now on Steam as long as it is for free here

I recently discovered this mod and find it ideal for lovers of the Taranis Schipclass. Perhaps there is a way to make the bridges with the vessels compatible? If I use both, I have the Tyrant class two docking bays ...

The upper docking bay has only an empty landing platform and the Lower beyond the actual bridge. Maybe it is possible to just swap the two?
