Plotstopper again.
Hi there,
i read a lot about my Problem here in the Forum and around the Web but none of the Solutions seems to help in my case.
i started a new game in game version 2.51 and played till the Mission where i have to Build a Staition in Devries.
I decided to deliver the needet Parts myself.
Now i need the the last 2 components and they are only buyable at PMC Stations. PMC is deep RED in my Reputation but i dont shoot at any ships of them as long as the Story wont need it.
I have -20 as Repitation with them.
Couse im no Friend of Manipulated savegames i tried to get my rep by uncovering enemys in PMC stations Traffic and fight back attacks of Pirates on PMC Stations wich was real Hard when both fraktions are fireing on my ship.
Now after a few Days of constand Playing, my REP is still on -20 and i see no way of going on with the Storyline. And i Repead i dont want to cheat.
Will this Plotstopping thing be fixed in V3.0 ???
Making a story relevent good only tradable on a Story forced enemy base is a real uncool thing to present to players, and that it comes so early in the Games dosent makes it better. IS there something i missed?
EDIT: Almost forgot to say: Since V2.5 i have constant Sound problems. The Games goes complet silent from time to time and mostly in the same areas

Hi,
If you are unwilling to pirate components, you can still use your hacking drone to hack Container Storages or container freighters to get RMPs. As long as you don't get caught you'll be fine.
I believe that the plutarch rep cannot go above -20 for the duration of much of the storyline.

Irrational factors are clearly at work.

Ok before ill try this. What exactly happens after i hacked a storrage? can i dock there an get the wares or will they be dropped into space?
My last hacking drone was destroyed within secondsm couse PMC opens fire the very same moment i come near one of the installations or ships.
Any hint to get this done? I realy like to go on with this Game now i mastered to leave behind the last 15 years of beloved X games and make my Head clear for Rebirth.

The other possibility is to give the architect enough credits and allow trade with NPCs. There are now a few "universe" NPC traders wandering about and you could get lucky and get a supply of the goods via one of the Ledda Industrial NPCs. My experience with this method though is that you require lots of patience as it can take some time for the supplies to reach your construction ship using this method.

If you keep your distance you should be alright. Destroy any patrol ships that come after you. The containers will be ejected into space, you'll need a freighter with Cargolifter drones and Container storage to pick up ejected Reinforced Metal Plating. Use the Cargo Collect mode in the HUD options to mark the containers for pickup.
I advise hacking a freighter and not a station, they will be easier.

Ill tryed to tell the Architect to deal with NPCs but couldent find where to do that!?
And about the hacking of a frighter: I searched all around to finde one the last days to take it over but cant find any with the needed goods ( optical something...).
I need "Bio optical ...hmmmm what are "fasern" called in English? and i need Fusion reactors.
The Metal plates wher suddenly at my Construction ship without a delivery from me. Is the Architect already on "Trade with NPCs" !?

Yes the plot CV comes with some metal plating to get you started ( changed in version 2.0 I think) Bio-Optic wiring and Fusion Reactors are available from non-PMC stations. You need to scan ship tech fabs to find them. Bear in mind that you may need to supply resources to those stations so they can build the goods you need.

You only need to build the first section and the URV wharf to continue the plot, there is enough RMP already in the CV for that.Janitor of Argon 1 wrote:Now that sounds a lot better. Thanx to all
You can buy the rest of the station materials from the friendly stations in buried treasure (recruit a trade agent for those so you can remote trade with the Rahanas you were given).

FINALY i got it. buried treasure was the hint i needed. But i still think thyt the Mission Design is a Bad Joke. All Missions before are easy and then ther comes this damm Hard one without any hint where ti finde the goods. If you had not given me the location i could searched Albion for Days without finding the on station and then i got to find the Sell point on the Staition too, so i have to Scan nearly every Station in albion to get this Mission done !?
This Mission seems to bother many Players even in V 2.51, and all it needs to make it better is a better Mission descriptin. Just a plain Text.

There's another way to solve the problem, build your own construction shop and URV Parts in friendly zones like Gemstone Manufacturing. The NPC's will gather all the wares for you, you don't even need to assign a trade ship to the architect. Compared to having to manual trade, letting the NPC build a station for you is actually FUN.
You will need credits however, easiest way is to pirate and sell ships, but you don't have to find specific ships. Also if you plan to continue after campaign these two stations will give you the wares you need since the NPCs generally have a high demand for these wares with low supply.
