More probably, for running with that kind of detail that rig has to look like the Elysium mainframe from the movie itself
Don't need to bring similarities with stations from Elysium, ED (mostly) and such...annular habitats are a concept 40 years old at least, the best adaptation in a game for me up to now is the Citadel ring section from Mass Effect...anyway, as already pointed, the Teladi have been using the very same kind of station (albeit with a couple polygons and shaders less
) for at least 15 years by now

This is great news,
but on back of my mind there is this voice,
can they really fix the game?...,
last time I played it..
it was a {removed - do NOT try to evade the word filter - CBJ}
But I do have to hand this to them, there art department is really good at what they do, some of the artwork put into this game, just looks really amazing, one of the most visually stunning space game I seen.

Tricky question. The game is in better state than Skyrim now.N3KIO wrote:This is great news,

I've burned myself many times - thinking of finding a critical bug which caused something in the game impossible to make, just to find out that it was caused by a mod, or it was caused by me missing something (spent 5 hours building a station in vanilla savegame, just to find out that the GIANT mining ship bug was actually caused by me forgetting to add money to manager wallet).
So yeah, the game has some small rough edges, like ships clipping, Yisha's hands clipping to the keyboard, music sometimes shutting down for 2 minutes....
But seriously, most of the real issues are user-errors. And the remaining gimmicks are just totally minor.
Except for performance. While my performance is OK, never drops under 30 frames, there's nothing better than constant 60 FPS.
I'd like a confirmation from the devs.
It says in steam description for the DLC, that it should add "pirates and smugglers who offer you opportunities".
What does it mean exactly?
So is there a pirate faction, with their illegal factories, pirate hubs that offer work and black goods? Making piracy a whole new, stand-alone gameplay style?

Technically, it says "These new areas also contain hazardous regions and new groups of smugglers and pirates that offer you countless opportunities"Earth ultimatum IV. wrote: It says in steam description for the DLC, that it should add "pirates and smugglers who offer you opportunities".

Although it would be cool to gain pirates/smugglers we can interact with in more ways than combat, it is not exactly what this sentence is promising so it might not occur.

True, except the only thing that really work flawlessly in X:R is the shooting. The trucking kind of works, sometimes. Empire building and fleets? Broken.Earth ultimatum IV. wrote:We already have ability to build stations, own freighters and fleets, and use them to make profit and produce wares. That's why I don't really bother with Elite - you can't do anything besides shooting and truckingbirdtable wrote:Really looking forward to a trailer ...give the Elite D fans something to drool over.
When/if X:R starts working properly, it will be really cool.

Wouldn't say anything if I wasn't an owner of 11 stations and over 20 ships myself, with over 50 employees.JimmiG wrote:Empire building? Broken.
But it works just as it's supposed to work, nothing is broken there.
There are things which I'd make better, like managers using player's budget, and a command which would make the manager completly ignore everything except player-owned assets & ships.

Again, there's nothing broken in the trading part, once you have trade agents at every station, the money just keeps flowing thanks to trading.

Well Last time i played 2.20?) Stations didnt make any money. OL Economy was on halt with trade offers for 2m Energy cells. My Energy Array was always out of Energy cells, but i got no money (maybe 40k once every 3 Real time hours). And own Energy freighter didnt want to Trade Energy cells at all.Earth ultimatum IV. wrote:rene6740 wrote:DLC Release in december means after 2.5 there is nothing to come. I didnt see any Major changes in Patch notes which would have fixed that. Correct me if i'm wrong

It doesn't exist. There is trade-related management, but no Trade.Earth ultimatum IV. wrote:rene6740 wrote:DLC Release in december means after 2.5 there is nothing to come. I guess see ya in december and Hope they fix the trading Part this time around.

I don't see how you can compare Rebirth to Skyrim?Earth ultimatum IV. wrote:The game is in better state than Skyrim now.
Granted, if you look at economics then Rebirth is better since Skyrim has non (provided Rebirth's is working) but on every other field Skyrim is beating Rebirth with Volendrung back to the Second Era.

There was a problem with masstraffic.rene6740 wrote:Well Last time i played 2.20?) Stations didnt make any money. OL Economy was on halt with trade offers for 2m Energy cells. Stations were automatically sending those small drones to all nearby stations that need those wares, but without money or player permission.
Iam pretty sure that this was at least partially fixed.
However, you were talking about TRADE, which is buying low and selling high.
Trading (buying low & selling high) works perfectly.
I also got lots of stations, but they are placed away from NPC infrastructure, so the mass traffic problem is far far beyond me, as NPCs come to me to buy my products.
I was talking about state of the games, my experience with Skyrim is that, although it's a great game, it's horribly unpolished and microbugs are at every corner.Graaf wrote:I don't see how you can compare Rebirth to Skyrim?Earth ultimatum IV. wrote:The game is in better state than Skyrim now.

Having 100% achievements, I had to cheat 4 times because the achievement wasn't given to me even after reload.
Iam not talking about fun or gameplay or beauty here, just the state and amount of bugs.

What are you talking about? What does "there is trade-related management, but no trade" mean exactly? The trade aspect of the game works quite well. If you mean player owned stations, it does work but needs more functionality and management options. Or are you referring to not actually piloting the ship yourself? If so, you are just beating a dead horse.Graaf wrote:It doesn't exist.
