However, referring to SteamDB, the changed to 2.5 Beta 3 today.
But, truly, i cant understand why they do not let us be part of the process by giving us some informations or just let us test it together

Personally, I am hoping for at least a public beta of the latest patch for the UK August BH Weekend (E/O Next Week

). But it will be here when it is ready... I hope so anyway.

@ Egosoft: Please do not rush it and release it before it is really ready.

@ fridl: There are some very good reasons why the testing could be still closed at this point (e.g. some elements of the testing may require details that is restricted to only L5 people and Egosoft employees).

Public Beta testing is a mixed bag really, but in general it can raise and put too much focus on "out of scope" issues (wrt the given release). Closed Beta testing tends to be more structured and more helpful in progressing the areas that are "in scope" for a given release.

RC 3 (release cake 3)? More like RPC 3 (release pancake 3)!
Joking aside, everything not in public beta is very unstable and will break your savegames very likely. So you dont want to "play" these versions.
