Long range scanner not working in 1.30

Long range scanner not working in 1.30
The long range scanner is not detecting objects 1.30 and not highlighting anything. I tried it in different sectors and nothing. I was infront of a container and tested the scanner and it just sent out the scan but did not highlight the container.

Anyway LRS is working for me 1.30 (RC6),
there's a thread about this in the beta-testing forum,
but seems it's working for everyone.
To be sure, there are containers that don't target, but you shoot & they release
salvagable containers - is this what you're seeing ?

Thanks for the reply. I did in fact shoot a container and it released two salvageable objects that my LRS still failed to highlight. I will have to do more testing and check things out.
PS. My first post on the matter seemed to have disappeared, and as such I re-posted it again. Still cannot find the original post.

Turns out that it's the "Effect Distance" slider that makes the results not appear. If I set it to minimum I can see nothing, but 10 was already enough for them to work.
Needless to say this will be fixed in a later patch, but for the time being I hope this workaround is OK.
