Control F joystick meh :/
I don't really understand why they don't fix the joystick/mouse issue, it's the most visible issue in 1.24... Maybe it is really difficult to solve ? :/
The day they solve this, I guess lots of people will change their mind about the game, since a lot of people wait for this to be solved and, as of 1.24, you can play through the campaign with (to me) pleasure.

my "dream" is to have the same mood than I have when I fly in Evochron Mercenaries. This is one the biggest flaw of the game in my opinion, the fly ship.RedEclipse wrote:Control F joystick meh :/

I don't see how, it would (roughly?) make it the same sale behaviour as per X-Trilogy.pref wrote:- Cargo value is now taken into account when selling a ship; you get roughly half it's value.
Wont this make things way too easy?
The boarding of friendly ships without rep penalty is really the primary exploit that perhaps should be addressed. It seems silly to me that a ship stays friendly when your boarding crew is executing a hostile takeover.

Boarding is a choice, but I have to agree that right now, Pirates and Buccaneers are swimming in gold. NPC factions should be a lot more aggressive targeting illegal activity and how they deal with it. Is the same issue as with trading, so far trading only in Albion, but none of my squad ships have been attacked or damaged by pirates. Zero risk so far.

Not needed imo : the guy the player asks is not supposed to know the players's standings...Darrosquall wrote:• Fixed player being sent to a hostile NPC when asking for directions.
I'm translating this in french, there's some points let in shadows for me :

Well, ok. But in that case, I guess that could be a cause of "You ? The one I know wouldn't say yes !" instead of auto-filtering a NPC that can be hired by the player (if it's done like that).santi wrote:It is very annoying that after 5 minutes looking for crew, you get one and then, cannot hire it because of the standing, it is a waste of time and effort and not enjoyable.

Re: New beta patch released!
• Added prices for small ships so that these can now be sold.
Potentially good. If it does it's job right, my BuildSmallShips doesn't need to add the prices for these things now. However, I just hope the prices they set reflect the ACTUAL performance of those ships...
Small fighters usually come in 3 classes per series. Raider for Light, Vanguard for Medium, and Sentinel for Heavy.
The thing is, Raiders are generally close together in terms of specs, but starting at Vanguards, things get out of hand. The HoA Eterscel Sentinels are inferior to Vanguards from all other series.
Small craft that aren't dedicated fighters rank somewhere below the Light class fighters, and then we have Pirate ships that are almost 1 full tier below the military fighters.
(Eterscel Sentinels are weaker than the Pirate Heavy Fighter.)
• Fixed player being able to start multiple boarding operations on the same ship.
Yeah, I encountered this bug back in 1.22.
• Added Korean localisation (text only).
...Huh. Something for me to proofread.

Renaming ships is boring, don't know why they added that. The excitement and risk of accidentally selling the wrong ship - and not getting the price of the cargo is something I'll miss!
Seriously though, I've already renamed all my ships and stations - much much clearer now!
The new logbook entries are very welcome too, I've been monitoring those. They're - gasp - useful!
My broken Spice Plantation is now letting me extend it - very nice.
Additionally, while my Freighters still don't drop off multiple ware types in one go at the same station / CV, they are doing far far less of a loop around between trades now, which is an improvement.
One of my factories did run low on cash (700cr left) yet I had no notification, possibly a timing issue with applying the update.
I built an extension to a factory and didn't have to leave the sector for the perfectly clear build site to become "un-blocked". Nice.
Regarding:
• Fixed incorrect trade status in ship menu.
Not sure what this was meant to fix exactly, but there's still lots of "Trading with nil" ships owned by my stations. This status just means "idle" from what I can tell, so no big deal.
Game playing quite smoothly, though I am in DeVries currently, not played with the new graphical settings yet.
All in all, a positive patch for me so far. Will keep playing.
Note: one potential down-side. As more features are added - which is great - the interface feels even more clunky at times. Hopefully things can be stream-lined more. Basically, I think it's safe for ES to make the assumption that most players have a keyboard...

Huh. It always amazes me that people love to trash a game, but when the devs show real progress, no one from that crowd goes:
"You are making good on trying to fix this."
I personally am -ecstatic- that I can sell small ships for credits, and that cargo is taken into consideration. This weekend I hope to use those funds to put some better shields on the Skunk, and maybe even *gasp* finish the plot!

I played X:R today before knowing anything about the new patch, launched the game, and I was like "wtf why is it so smooth suddenly".
Now I checked the forum and noticed that Iam playing on 1.25 hehe.
