Prison Break - can't get past "acquire Marine Officer"

I have a Marine Officer, and a captain, and hired 8 marines (reading elsewhere that that's required). Nonetheless, the quest to Acquire Marine Officer persists and I can't move forward.

Any suggestions? Game is at r1.24 .

If you still have the yellow indicator, follow it to the location that points to, it may clear once you get there and triggers the end of the mission. Only thing I can think of.

Thank you Santi, but NO I have no indicator.

I had hoped someone encountered the same roadblock and found a work-around. But....

So I'll try to find a save before I got the mish and step forward.

Have you try enabling and disabling the mission assistance thingy from the menu? Long shot but could your marine officer be a defence officer instead?

Thanks again Santi, I appreciate your help - but good news !

I went to a save before I got the mish, and as soon as I hired a Marine Officer, the mish advanced to next stage ! So I'm off cheerfully to my next point of failure.

I can remember no difference between hiring the marine officer last time and this time, except the first didn't work, and the second did.

Oh well - a reminder to SAVE OFTEN !
