[Bug] Trading

Might have observed new information regarding the trading bug(s).

Right after I got the 1.16 update I did the following:

1. Deleted everything in my Extensions folder.
2. Edited my quicksave.xml and removed everything and including <patches> and /<patches>.
3. Started up the game.
4. Watched my Rahanas (Container) unload it's cargo (Food Rations) to Station RoC Habitation I / Glaring Truth / DeVries.

What happened was this:

Only one of my 10 equipped Cargolifter URV's was working.
It transported 4000 units of Food Rations per cycle but NOTHING was removed from the Rahanas.
However, the Total Storage of the Station (RoC Habitation I) was raised by 4000 each time the Cargolifter URV made a cycle.
I watched the whole process for about 10 minutes when I finally got a message from the Captain aboard the Rahanas saying:
-No further buisness (or something equivalent) is possible. Awaiting new orders.
I had a look at the Total Storage of the Station (RoC Habitation I) and saw that I had indeed filled it up (almost). 706,450/780,000.

Now the Rahanas is looping around by flying in a circle, coming back to the docking location and starting to dock.
I get a message saying:
-I'm pleased to tell you that your wares are being delivered.
Then the ship "undocks" immediately and goes back to it's circling only to come back 5 minutes later.

Rinse and repeat.

I haven't even tried to edit my quicksave.xml to "ready up" my Cargolifter URV's since I had my hopes up that 1.16 would have fixed this.

Apparently this is totally broken and therefore I give up.

Been playing for a whole week, using different mods to try and amend all the problems in this "released" game.

Sadly the bad reviews are correct since it seems like EgoSoft fired all of it's QA staff a couple of years prior to releasing the game.

This have NOT been tested for quality at all.

I'll return in a month or so and check to see if "anything" has been done to amend this game.

Until then I will be playing the relativelly un-bugged games, Battlefield 4, EVE Online and X3.

yea seems like new 1.16 bug.
trade transaction never ends, but wares and money delivered...
(I have always drones more than needed so all was transferred,
but transaction did not close and captain tryes to retry it...
(in case of buying - without money, in case of selling - without goods to sell)

Ok.

Due to patch 1.17 where it says in the patchnotes that they fixed stuck traders, I decided to try this out.

Wierd things happened almost immediately I loaded my save.

My Rahanas did actually make another cycle around to dock at the station and all my drones worked again (strike was off apparently) and I finished the trade.
However, I studied the amount of cargo on the Rahanas during the offload and the amount never dropped.
The stations amount did, however, increase.
Not until the offload operation was completed did the Rahanas cargo state it was empty.
Cash was transferred to my account but I never got any message from the captain of the Rahanas that it was done.

Ok, I thought.
Trade messages are still bugged but I can trade!

Next thing I do is find another good trade and send my Rahanas to pick up the goods.
To my big disappointment, the same thing happens again.
No drones are working (strike is up again, I guess) thus I get no wares loaded onto my Rahanas.

As I pointed out in my OP, the main bug in trading is nothing but drones that get stuck, not really the ships.

Going back to X3, EVE and BF4 until next patch when you say that you've fixed trading.
My hopes, however, have been considerably lowered since you simply can't see all the threads/posts about the drones being bugged.

That's what I've been saying, but it clearly says so in the patchnotes.

Reason I even said the above was for EgoSoft to have a chance and see what happened in my case.
I know trading has not been fixed. I simply give them my observations to one of the gazillion bugs in this alpha-release.

Trading has been fixed, I mean, for AI management about trading sequences BUT not cargo lifting.

So after they fixed trading, they screwed that drones get their cargo to/from transporters. In this case nor NPC ships nor player ships cannot able to achieve a single trading due to "broken" cargo-lifting.

The problem with the drones didn't occur in 1.17.
It existed before.

Always read the OP.
