Cannot deliver pilot to freighter

In the early stages of the campaign I am required to deliver a pilot to the freighter. I cannot dock at the freighter. I get the "Dock" instructions, have approached to 6 meters of the docking port but never get the "dock" command. I have pushed the "f" key over and over without ever getting the "dock" command and have double-clicked on the icon would success. Please help!

Normaly you have to have the hangar in your view. There is a green round Icon with crates in it. Then u have to double click this Icon to dock. Stupid as **** but thats the way

usually i click on the dock icon infront of the ship and then F... i cannot double click... needs to be fast to work and i am slooooooow...

anyway try to disable AA.. set it to 0X

No, no - I'm way past that. I need to deliver the pilot to the freighter I just fought the drones for. For the life of me I can't get a "dock" command!

I GOT IT! Finally! The info about the green blob was very helpful. I was trying to dock a side port. Many thanks.
