Switching target with Controller?

Hello,

is there a function to switch the target(like: target enemy under crosshair) with a controller(btw XBox360 controller)? Sometimes i have selected a target which is 10 miles away and 5 enemy are flying around me and attack. In some cases it works to press A, but in one of ten cases! Thats not enought ^^

I've played briefly with a 360 pad and it seems to target what you aim at by default by itself. Look at something, it gets targeted, look at something else, it switches target eventually.
Personally it annoyed me, because I don't want to select everything I look at as a target, so back to M+KB I went!

i also found that if you aim towards the floating aim point thingy, sometimes you loose lock. not ideal.

You're not missing anything. This your new targeting system. You have no gravidar to track enemies, no peripheral vision, and no off-screen targeting to better utilize your smart missiles.

If you're progressively frustrated with the handling & targeting in combat...welcome to the party!

i must say i not keen on this new target system is like something you would expect on a console...? i thought this game was for PC ?

we need more keys binds :

Target nearest escort ship
Target nearest Enemy
Target nearest Missle

Match speed

ive tried this game out on both 360 and a saitek x45

not sure if this has been noticed, but is the target hit marker out of sync, cause when ever shoot dead on, i miss by miles and get own cause i hit a friendly instead
