Broken Save - Load into space and cannot move or press any keyboard buttons

Hey,

So I only have 1 save after 6 hours gameplay which ended in a crash, I
was forced to go back to a 2 hour old save where I get loaded into space
and I cannot do a single thing. No buttons on my keyboard seem to work
apart from escape, no ships have brackets around them like they normally
would, stations do not have the docking/trading/information icons. I
cannot move or rotate with mouse or keyboard. I can click on things which
brings them up on the little screen in the bottom right but thats it. Cannot
do anything else, here's the screenshots of the only possible things I can

When I load in I see this,

When I press ESC (the only keyboard button that seems to do anything I see this,

There is nothing else I can do. Enter > 5 > 5 does nothing. Saving and
re-reloading does nothing I am just stuck in space being shot at by reds
that don't even appear red.

[Edit] I am not even able to see the menu when i press ENTER - nothing
appears. The only menu I have access to know is the ESC menu/Console
and Debug Output. Is there a console command I can type to teleport to
a station docked? The save file,

It was my last save 4 hours into the game before I experienced a crash to desktop at the 6 hour mark or so. This is all I had to go back to and yeah, completely stuck.

I'm also seeing this problem. My last save exhibits the same issue. When I load it up I can't do anything, the game is completely unresponsive to anything except ESC.


Even worse, the save before that has this really odd bug where I can dock, but I can't leave the ship. The door is closed, and I can't get back into the cockpit using the door switch. If I use the menu to return to the **** pit it works, but any other attempts to dock result in the same behavior.

Finally the save before THAT works, but I lose 6hrs of progress.

X Rebirth is a disappointment. If it weren't for the bugs, I could forgive a lot of other stuff. However, being stuck in one ship called "The Skunk", with NPCs that look like they were pulled from HalfLife 1, with a klunky control scheme that was apparently optimized for a console controller and experiencing consistently game breaking bugs.... I'd rather just walk around my ship hangar in SC the rest of the afternoon.

I also am having this same problem. 5+ hours into the game.

I saved my game after exiting a station then when i loaded that save I have no control over my ship. i can only target things i can see and hit the escape key.
I can also confirm that I can not move or control my ship even with a controller only the escape menu.

I also have this issue, plus a trader that has gone totally derpy. Flying around a system trying to sell Energy Cells, which I never gave it, after I told it to buy Food Stuffs and RIGHT after it used a Superhighway. It also says it has -49k cargo.

I have the exact same problem. I saved immediately after exiting a station. I reloaded the save later only to find that I could not move. If it helps, I've linked my save file below.

Well I'm glad to find I'm not the only one with this issue but it does suck that people are getting it as well. Its ruined the game for me because I don't want to play if I know either I'm just going to crash or eventually get this bug ruining the game.

Yeah I'm scared to even spend time playing the game in fear that one day I'll try to load my game and i will have no control over my ship.

Same problem here, loaded up my game which I saved in space after visiting a station and it won't allow me to control my ship. The only control that's responsive is the esc/start menu.

Same issue, please fix this ASAP egosoft. I have a difficult time paying $50 for a game I can't play. I don't want to request a refund from steam but will if this is not fixed fast.
