I own Gold Edition for Windows, how about Linux... - Steam will accept DVD code.

I already own the Gold Edition DVD box for Windows and I was wondering since Steam has the Linux version if I could some how download my Gold Edition Linux install from another source. The only reason I ask is because if I was to go through Steam I would have to purchase the game again just to play it on Linux. I have a valid DVD Gold Edition key, how can I get the Linux version?

I would speak to Steam Customer Support and see what they say. You might be lucky, and have nothing to lose by trying.

Good call. All I had to do is activate my key through Steam and it recognized I own the game. That was awesome. Thank you.

Excellent, I wasn't positive it would work for Linux etc.
