Can you montezie(YouTube) X-Rebirth Videos on November 15th?
Been looking and couldn't find any answer on that.

I'm planing to do guides and tutorial videos about Trade/Building and other things.

Anyone know?

Read Youtubes guidelines for monetization,
as long as you meet the requirements you can monetize prettymuch anything.


Recording the PLAYING of a videogame for review purposes, or showing features usually can be monetized..

but again, just look up the requirements and guidelines and you will know for sure :)

Not sure about your questions, I am hoping Egosoft or at least Bernd (let the Devs do their work) will put forth with a few more videos before release day. I will be looking for guides though. 8)

Bernd said about this in the Reddit chat I think. The basics was that they were ok with it but they'd most likely want to know the figures of your income from the videos so that they could get an idea about marketing or something.

Still due to youtube's guidelines they'll need to provide written proof.

Well im asking because some company's do not allow it, Example Nintendo!

And I'm pretty sure coming release day many other people will have the same question.

I'm just thinking ahead of time to prepare/schedule everything.

Monetize could mean a lot of different things. If it's something like a Lets Play, then I wouldn't count on you getting anywhere with it. If it's a series like Red Vs. Blue, expect a lot of work for a J-curve payoff, if you're lucky.

Egosoft is trying to go big with Rebirth, so I would say any publicity is good publicity if you are respectful of the franchise and its history.

You can post gameplay videos (once the game is out, of course) and you are allowed to monetize them but we reserve the right to a) request a statement of your income from such videos and b) change the terms under which we allow monetization.
