I have the same problem

The paypal url will not open when I click "Pay now with paypal" in the egosoft store.

At least people wanting boxed copies can be hopeful cos of the english and german collectors editions tho german one only at the mo but the site says the english one will be soon.

Little surprised the soundtrack preorder incentive is for es shop only not the steam store as alot of games throw in soundtracks in with preorders to tempt ppl.

Still those wanting a boxed copy will still need steam in the end but i guess there happy they probably wouldn't need to use all their bandwidth to dl the whole game. (tho some steam physical copies have done in the past)

Are you using Private Browsing? Try without if so. Also make sure any script-blockers are disabled or have exceptions for both Egosoft and PayPal sites.

I found and fixed a problem with the redirect to PayPal there, give it another go.

Anyone know why the Europe Digital Download version is 44.99 Euros yet the exact same version for outside Europe is 35.99 Euros? Seems odd.

Think I will wait. I don't think 44.99 Euros is a lot, but when the same product is 9 euros cheaper for non-Europeans, well, it's unexpected, especially considering Egosoft is a European developer.

£35.99 direct from Steam, which is nearer the 44.99 Euro price...

Am I missing something? It's been a long day... lol.

Soon as the English boxed collectors edition is available online, I'm ordering. This will be the first time ever that I have pre-ordered a game. BRING IT ON EGO!!!!!

Seems to be Region Lock. You can try to buy this version and activate through some China or Australia VPN. Steam need other region only for activation

The Egosoft Shop offers two versions of this edition due to tax reasons. A worldwide edition which can be activated anywhere and an "outside Europe only" edition that, as the name suggests, can only be activated outside of Europe.

Unfortunately there's little we can do about that without committing tax fraud...
