Gamescon is 22nd – 25th. Personally I'm expecting the release date around the 20th, such would be typical Egosoft fashion.

"Beginning" actually meaning beginning is just hoping !

As far as gamescom 2013 site... egosoft has no booth.

Very small studios have booths at that convention... with games even at the stage of alpha and early beta.

Umm... please look more closely at that page.

It's referring to Gamescom 2011. I was just bringing it up as an example of how Egosoft goes about presenting media at a convention.

Deep Silver generally doesn't divulge their product lineups for Gamescom until 1-2 weeks before the convention itself.

Just a few observations to share with you all here:

If like me these things feel true to you, why do you spend your time procrastinating here? Get into the fresh air early one morning, and watch a real star rise over your planet.

Whenever egosoft drop TIRD on us we can all fall to our knees and give thanks to whatever (Insert deity here) you worship.

When That Illusive Release Date is finally here we can all mark our calendars and get on with our lives the way we want to.

I think if Egosoft hasn't released a release date in a week, we can consider them having lied to us. And then we'll all buy the game anyway, because who cares.

Well, i guess it's up to 21 days isn't it? If they plan on... releasing a release date... then i guess the best way of doing that would be to do it at gamescom so that some gaming journalists pick it up and spread the word

Hope they do a nice presentation, star citizen is releasing some demo type stuff over gamescom, and whilst i'm excited for that it would be a shame for rebirth to get overlooked because of that. For all the delay in this game, the x series has been excellent and i haven't forgotten that
