The Invisibile Folders - Sorted.

Hi, I have been trying to installl some mods, namely the advanced satellite placement mod, and I just can't find my game folder!

I've looked in Program files and Program Files(x86), and the only Egosoft folder is for the addon manager. The steam folder just has files for the Steam client.

The folder isn't on my desktop, and i've tried searching the HD for files related to X3 but it just wont show me a directory.

Could someone please tell me the standard location for the directory, and a few filenames out of the X3AP directory that I can search for.

You missed it when you looked at the Steam folder. You'll find it in Steam\steamapps\common.

There are some FAQs that help and are always worth a look, one here. Unless you moved the gamefiles elsewhere of course - which Steam now allows you to do since a recent Steam Client update.

The X3AP files are inside your X3TC folder.
